The coldest temperature was 7oC but it was two years ago. During Tet holiday, hotels and restaurants in Hanoi's Old Quarter still open. Museums and travel agents will be off work for 3-4 days. The great side is that you will feel the atmosphere before Tet and experience new year's eve with fireworks. |

They are particularly interesting because they are taken in very remote areas that are not easily accessible to most tourists. I'm most grateful to Hanoi Girl for drawing attention to them. I have sometimes been tempted to buy a better camera myself, but I don't like lugging around big pieces of kit. |

I've been to the Museum of Ethnology in Hanoi twice. It provides a fascinating insight into the living and working lives of the Vietnamese ethnic groups. It is a 'must' visit for anyone travelling to Hanoi. |
