i am so in love with the veela cafe! it's so unique, but so is the rest of this place! we met a couple named Atilla and Karen ouside the cafe a little while ago who were extremely intersting! Atilla (as in Atilla the hunLOL) was from Hungary but moved to canada a long time ago and his wife is from here. they are motorcycle riders and told us about alot of good places to visit around here! i put in my application today at the Dazzled by Twilight store and the manager sounded really promising! i hope i get the job :)) yesterday we went to the port and that was rle awesome! we got information on the boat that will take us to canada and things we can do there for when meagan comes ... read more
We made it to our amazing little house in WA! it's so beautiful. there isn't any air conditioning but that's because there's no need for it! the breeze rolls off of the water making it cool. we unfortunately don't have internet though, but right now I'm in a coffee house using it. this town is amazing. I'm so in love with everything about it! it's cloudy and cool and just beautiful. my fav part is that there are thrift stores about every three feet here! i do miss my best friend Meagan more than anything tho :( I'm selfishly wishing that SC would blow up or something so that she'd have to move here!lol after i get done with my computer time here we're going down to the water to just look around. it's just so ... read more
*YAWNS* i am BUSHED! This morning we had MORE waffles (this time the cooking part turned out great! They only sucked today because of there only being suger free syrup...ehem.) then went to the corn palace! It wasn't what i expected. There was a lady making pop corn balls and she gave us free samples and told us about how they ship them to the soldiers and blah blah blah (that's what her stories turned into as i focused on the pop corn...). After that mom saw a giant Jackalope statue that she INSISTED we stop and take pictures on despite. Despite my curses on her life, she pulled over and promptly walked straight into a puddle full of mud and algae!HA After she fished her shoe out and made me stradle the weirdo thing RIGHT ... read more
It's 9:51 pm and we're here in...we'll just say interesting, Mitchell South Dakota. It's small but has some cute attractions (like the Corn Palace- a building completely made out of corn and grains grown around the town). We drove alot today! About 8 hours all together. The interstate in Iowa was halariouse!! it was one lane most of the way and had grass growing through the concret. I guess not many people go on Iowa's interstate! Really the only thing we saw today while we drove was corn! fields and fields of corn and maybe a patch of soy beans here and there. it was rainy when we first started out but as we went it turned into fluffy white beautiful clouds. it was a good day driving (partially thanks to Eclipse for keeping me company ... read more
Today has been a good day. Long but good. we started out around 8:45 am today and drove for a good long while. Mother dearest went ahead and got her alloted speeding ticket for the trip (in illinois going 15 over)! The police officer was nice at least...Then we ate lunch/dinner (it was around four) at Denny's where i had french toast YUMS! The only other eventful thing that happened today was that we got lost in Kansas city. We were supposed to get off at 2A but it went from 1A to 3A...yea didn't make sense to us either! Well, just so happend that there was a gay pride festival there today (not to mention a torrential down-pour) so at least we got to look at all the cutie pattootie gay guys flouncing around while ... read more
This morning momma and I sat outside of our hotel that looked over the Smokey Mountains while we ate our poor massacred waffles that the waffle maker decided to withhold mercy from. they were pitiful...After that we gave Gabe his first shower! he LOVED it. When i was dressing him he rolled over all by himself!! I'm pretty positive a three week old isn't supposed to be able to do that, but more power to the lump! We Left Asheville NC at around 10:30 and got to Nashville TN at about 4 o'clock. We would have gone farther but Gabe kept poor mom up all night so we had to stop so she didn't fall asleep at the wheel! after a nap we went to Cracker Barrel (OM NOM) and had chocolate cobbler :) Now ... read more
