Well Annie, how fantastic to have shared your journey. I got a bit behind in reading your blogs, and have now caught up. So I sit here, tears in my eyes, so moved by your experiences and your sharing. Now I am just bursting to do similar!! Loved getting your postcard - can't wait to see you back home in Adelaide. Am hoping to go there in October. xxxx

Carpe diem - From: Santiago - can you believe it?
Annie congratulations on your fanstastic achievement - reading about your last day has really touched me and I must tell you how much it reinforces to me that each day is a gift and if we don't appreciate it, then the last day comes along and we are nothing, just carbon. You have certainly carped that diem! xx

Hi Annie, cannot believe you are so close, I felt my eyes fillup just at the thought and the mixed feelings about the finish, well done you have done great. Your stick sounds interesting and ment to be yours. All well here a big storm last night and a bit of rain and cool but then it is winter. Enjoy the last part of the walk and embrace the finish with the joy you deserve. Annie

Hi Annie So good to hear your wonderful stories and while you are encountering beautiful sunny days we are finally getting some wonderful rain and listening to the magpies in the late afternoon tells us that they are also appreciating the relief from the heat. We are going to the cabaret festival this friday to see the Kransky sisters and I have heard they are fantastic,I'm looking forward to this. I hope your journey continues to be as eventful and as awesome {in the true sense of the word} as you are telling us about and That you continue to keep well and happy along the way. Igor and I often talk about you and look forward to your return and many photos to see. Love Min

Hi Annie, Thank goodness all is well I was checking the email twice a day to see if you were ok. It all sounds so wonderful you are now fit when 21km is an easy day, well done. we are all well here and are getting ready to go away in 2 weeks for a month, going north around the outback tracks with the van hope the rain stays here in town as they have had the tracks closed this weekend. But it does not matter if we have to stay at birdsville for a few days till the weather clears. Hoping to get some walking in and take some photos of the flowers to embroider. Hope your shins are good and you get a hot bath every now and again. lots of love Annie P

hello - From: Sunny Spain at last!
Hi Annie, it's been great reading how you are going on your camino. I've just come in from an 8km walk - feeling very proud of myself - as part of my pre camino trainig. I'm going to have to improve hugely to manage what you're doing!! :) I've made some notes in my guide book on the albergues you're liking in case I find myself there in the evenings. It's wonderful following your progress and look forward to every one of your posts. Hope the weather holds for you, glad to hear you liked the Meseta. I know that is a favourite spot of Janet's and I'm looking forward to that part, along with everything else. Buen camino, Jane

God Works in Mysterious Ways - From: Freezing Cold and Miserable
Can you remember what Harry used to say? The best bit about travel is planning it and telling people after. The middle bit is hard work! Ahhh yes but it does make it memorable! Enjoy what you can. We could do with some of that rain. Its been a beautiful day here today. James & I are off to Coobowie for a few days tomorrow and next weekend I'm off to walk in the lower Flinders for 3-4 days. Love pedallingpete

Dearest Annie, I have been following your jouney and reading the book you lent me, and was wondering about the sad, mad, bad bits! In lots of ways I am glad that it is happening to you because I am sure that growth comes from those parts of the journey. Mind you, that is easy to say from here!!! You write so well, it almost feels as though I am there. My love and thoughts are definitely with you! Keep going, keep learning. Love Jane

warm thoughts - From: Freezing Cold and Miserable
Hi Annie, Well done you are over the worst of it now I hope. I have been sending you healing for yours shins and I hope this is helping. Warmth we are short off as it was 2 this morning when I went to the gym. But I will still work on your shins and hips with healing. All is well here and getting colder but the fire has been set to work and the house is warm. Enjoy a glass of wine or a hot toddy at night ( only to help you sleep) try and stay warm and dry our thoughts are with you all the way. enjoy Annie

Hi Annie, I'm reading your blogs with such excitement for you, but today I'm trying to visualise you in a halo of sun and warmth - hopefully the weather changes for you soon. Glad to see your body is performing well and you're walking strongly. I'm taking notes of your comments of the albergues etc for my own camino. Keep well and enjoy the moment, Jane x

well done - From: Villamayor Montjardin to Santo Domingo de la Calzada
Hi Annie, you are doing so well, and your blogs are fantastic we both look forward to reading them. I hope the fashion statement of the socks and sandles do not take on here. The hills sound wonderful if hard work I hope after a rest day your shins felt better but yes do stretch often, as we were never good at remembering. We have never found someone laying flowers down for us on the Mt Lofty trail what a treat. Remember lots of cream on your face, feet and hands as the weather is very drying. Looking forward to the next blog our hearts are with you all the way. (that special person is with you also enjoying). Annie

Hi Annie, it is wonderful to read your posts, your descriptions are quite poetic! And I was pleased to read of your approach to the red wine fountain, a true Oz walker. So that is your secret is it, drugs and alcohol. have decided to try a bit of the same, in Singapore and soon to get on flight to London so am drinking Gin now and will have a flu tablet on plane (drowsy one) then I am sure to sleep. That was great last night, we all got to see you, ant beleive it worked out. You looked good and it sounds like everything is going along well especially now with your secret formula. Presume your day would of been a bigger one today after short walk yesterday. It must be great to stay for a night or two in the pensions. am following the photos on the santiago compostela site. Hi Annie, Your vivid descriptions of your trip are almost transporting me to the countryside you are in, I can smell the smells and see the view I am loving your updates and your glorious way with words. You sound like you are having a wonderful trip and I look forward to your next update. I especially think red wind fountains should be installed in ALL suburbs and towns, the spaniards have the right idea on that one. Cheers Min.

Wonderful to read your travel log Annie. Are you walking by yourself most of the way? The countryside sounds so lovely, with the tinkle of cow bells (we love cows, so would be in our element). Take care and we look forward to your next installment. xxxx Jane and John
