Day 12 Bruges to London, England. Thursday 10th January 2013 So I didn’t plan my last day that well. I should have got up earlier, stashed the suitcase at the airport and gone exploring Brussels for a couple of hours. Hey ho. Just another reason to revisit this lovely city. I started with breakfast and then a little walk along the river and back to catch a cab to the train station to take me to the Eurostar in Brussels. I wish I had longer in Bruges as I didn’t get to go to many places like the Chocolate Factory but its definitely somewhere you would go back to, maybe with a date! Day 10 Amsterdam. Tuesday 8th January 2013 This morning we can cycle Amsterdam just like the locals. Spend the rest of the day checking out Amsterdam’s museums or trendy cafes. Tonight there’s a farewell dinner followed by an optional canal cruise. Amsterdamage! So today started with a bike ride around the city. Day 8 - Munich to Rhine Valley. Sunday 6th January 2013 A day of discovery – medieval castles, vineyards and the mighty Rhine River which carves its way through the countryside. Tonight spend the night in one of the many castles along the banks of the Rhine. I think this is the part of the trip, bar Paris, I was looking forward to the most. I had always wanted to visit the Rhine Valley and although we only had one night here, we were staying in a castle! A sobering start to the day. Day 6 - Venice, Italy Friday 4th January 2013 Time for Venice in depth! There are two ways to really see Venice and today we do both – a walking tour to visit the sights such as the Rialto Bridge and St Mark’s Square with its famous basilica, as well as a vaporetto ride on the Grand Canal to experience Venice from the water…an optional gondola ride is a must-do as well! Day 4 - Lauterbrannen, Swiss Alps Wednesday 2nd January 2013 An optional excursion to the summit of the Jungfrau Mountain, home of Europe’s highest rail station anyone?!
