After driving west through Canada, clearly the most sensible plan was to fly all the way back east to the UK! We are not going to be home for Christmas and with a friends wedding and a college reunion within a week of each other it seemed like a great opportunity to catch up with friends and family. In the spirit of our road trip we still managed to cover 1207 miles (1931 km). Many thanks to everyone who provided us with accommodation - we had a fantastic time catching up with people who we haven’t seen in far too long. [View Full Entry]

All the tarps were used, and after some adjustment and re-adjustment a well deserved glass of Shiraz was quaffed by the lake in the pre-storm sunshine. Finally, after 2 days of constant rain, the weather broke, and we embarked on a hike up the Sleeping Giant, which has a special place in First Nation [View Full Entry]

We've started! Woo-hoo. This is the first blog entry for our trip. We anticipate, that there will be approx 1 e-mail every 2 weeks. If you would like to unsubscribe, the details are in the base e-mail. The first day really didn't feel any much different to a usual Friday if we were going camping. 1) Chuck everything in the car. 2) Battle with traffic on the 400. 3) Drive about 4 or 5 hours and set up a tent in Restoule Provincial Park, a location we had visted a number of times before. This time it was different. This time [View Full Entry]
