We woke in the morning to the sounds of Mark, Jan, Loz and Mick having a early swim. No matter, I drifted back to sleep aided by the gentle rocking of the boat. A simple but delicious breakfast followed a bit later. After breakfast, more cruising around the Bay to Cat Ba Island. On docking, we boarded a mini bus to take us to the other side of the island to a smaller boat that would take us to another limestone cave, this one smaller and less crowded... we were the only people there. The minibus picked us up in the morning to take us on the Halong Bay tour. There was room for 16 people on the boat and apparently it was full. We were the last stop so I ended up in either the best seat on the bus - the one next to the driver with heaps of leg room or the worst... the one furtherest away from the conversations... so I guess for me it wasn’t a good option...hehehe....there were all these conversations that I just couldn’t participate in... aarrgghh... for me... bad... Special Entry...bit behind due to poor internet.. but this was interesting...

This is something that happened the night we spent in Hanoi... I haven't had any decent internet access so I typed this up instead... I will update my blogs as soon as I can.... To set the scene... we arrived in Hanoi that morning at 6am after a night on the train (nightmare in itself) ... toured the city during the day... went to see the Water Puppets that evening....
