We have lift off! Tonight the big silence begins. Seven weeks of fasting, meditating and communicating only with my higher self. Bring it on! Wish me luck. I´ll be thinking of you (and food). Love Jen... read more

Hey people, Here are some pics of Nicaragua and Honduras for you. I´ll let you see for yourself... Life at Spirit Camp ´09 is going great. We´re about a month in now and I´ve been doing more study than I ever did at uni! We´re learning tarot, astrology and a whole bunch of other stuff based on the Qabalistic Tree of Life. There´s a one month and a three month course that you can do here. I did the Moon course (the one month course) last year and am doing the Sun course now. The last part of the Moon course is a week in silence and us Sunnies join in on that one. This time round it happened to land on my birthday! How amazing it is to spend your birthday in silence. Hello anonymous viewers... Here are some pictures of the time I lived in a pyramid in Guatemala (I still love saying that!), the time I climbed an active volcano and poked at lava... and some pictures of northern Honduras... a pirate fort and the mandatory shoots in Mayan ruins. Hurrah. You´ll spot some photos of the entity known as Mark in there too. I'm sitting in a little interenet cafe in Antigua on my second day back in Guatemala. It feels good to be here again. I spent last week in the Caribbean (I just drooled a little when I wrote that hehe). When you go snorkeling and see the biggest fish in the ocean you know you're onto a good thing. Whale Shark!! The people on the island see about four of these beasts a ... read more

Hello all! After two nights couch surfing in the capital I've made it to the Pacific and can now finally replace 'Do you know the way to San Jose?' with some great tunes by the beach boys. Surf Safari being one of them. I had my first surifng lesson today. I stood up multiple times and only face planted once. Yippee! And there's something about coconut trees and brings a smile to your face. Costa Rica is quite a change from Nicaragua. Everything is clean and the buses have these strange things called Schedules and actually stop for people to get on (as oppose to having to sprint, jump and cling for dear life). Couch surfing was fun as always and I had my first geocaching experience in the city. I did enjoy Nicaragua though. I ... read more

Greetings browsers After one day, seven buses and three taxis I´ve escaped the rain of the Caribbean for the sunshine of Nicaragua. Nicas are a friendly bunch. It took only 5 minutes to be invited back to someone´s mums´ house for tea and I had the joy of being dubbed there on a bicycle - pack and all. ... read more

Hello All, I´m off to climb an active volcano tonight. I´m really hoping my crappy $10 shoes from the market won´t melt on the lava... I don´t think I´d make a good marshmallow. I´ve just finished my month of meditation and yoga on the lake. Ahhhhh soooo good. Now it´s back to the real world except now I´m the strange girl at the hostel up at the crack of dawn reading tarot and doing sun salutations. such bliss. Anyway, I´m boosting it to Honduras tomorrow. Gotta get this show on the road again. Much love, enjoy the pics Jen... read more
