Picking, Picking
Hello again!!! Yesterday was my last day on the tomato farm. I'm a little bit sad, but just a little bit... Now it's time to move on and i can't wait to get into new adventures. On Friday i will leave Bargara for Hervey Bay to get on my Fraser Island trip. Of course, now that I'm off work, it's raining. But no worries....... read more

Hi everybody! I'm still in Bargara and I'm still working in the tomato buisness. But I'm on the picking machine now and the work is even harder but the money is so much better. I don't think I'm really good because I'm not fast enough, but I hope they'll keep me for the next 2 weeks. Yesterday we worked 12 hours in about 35 degrees! Theres not much to do after work, because normally I'm so tired and exhausted. All the fun stuff has to wait until Christmas. Hope you are all well. Seeya susi ... read more

Hello After a rough start everthing worked out, well not exactly perfect, but it's getting better. I have bought a car and I moved on from Brisbane. Right now I'm in a little town called Bargara. I came here for a job- tomato picking!-but the conditions were really bad, like even if you work the whole day long, the money is still not enough to pay the rent for a lousy 4-bed dorm. The season is still low, but they all say it's getting better within a week. So I slept for one night in a nasty 8-bed dorm. That was enough. I met Keith, a guy from California, who was also looking for a place to stay and he found a house. So we splitted the rent and it is the same price now like ... read more

Way to Phnom Penh-flooded
Hallo Endlich da! Phnom Penh war leider nicht so schoen.Das Hotel lag irgendwie in einem merkwuerdigen Viertel und mein Zimmer war im Erdgeschoss-es war mir nicht ganz geheuer!Die Stadt war insgesamt sehr schmutzig. Die Killingfields ausserhalb von Phnom Penh waren sehr interessant und traurig.Dort wurden in den 70 Jahren mehrere tausend Menschen(Maenner, Frauen, Kinder)sinnlos dahingeschlachtet. Heute ist es eine grosse Gedenkstaette. Sihanoukville ist klein, nicht so laut und mein Hotel ist gemuetlich und ich fuehle mich dort sehr sicher. Heute war ich am Strand, wow, weisser Sand, blaues(sauberes) Meer. Nur staendig diese Fragerei:You want to buy a bracelett, you want a massage, you want a manikure, you want fruit??? Hi Here for you a small version in English!!! Cambodia is hot, humid and very exciting!!!I like the people here a lot-they always smile and they are really helpful if you need anything. I'm staying here in Siem Reap in a perfect hostel, it got nice staff, very comfy beds and an indoor pool.Í can't tell you so much about the breathtaking old citys of Angkor.You have to look at the pictures.Even if it's really exhausting to wander around in the ruins while the sun is burning and the humidity is about 100%-it's still worth it!! Angkor Wat
Hallo Seit gestern bin ich in Siem Reap. Es ist noch heisser hier, man glaubt es kaum. Ich habe ein tolles Hostel, guenstiger Preis, nettes Personal, bequemes Bett, Indoor-Pool und eine riessige Spinne hinterm Bett. Heute waren ich und Selina(Britsh-Girl, lives here,too) bei den Tempeln von Angkor. Wahnsinnig beeindruckend. Kann man nicht in Worte fassen, es ist so ein aehnliches Staunen, wie wenn man vor den Pyramiden in Aegypten steht. Es ist aber sehr erschoepfend bei ca. 35 Grad und 100%Luftfeuchtigkeit den ganzen Tag herumzuwandern.Aber morgen gehts weiter.Ich denke, dass wird mir dann aber auch reichen.Um wirklich alles zu sehen, muesste man eine Woche einplanen. Beach Nha Trang
Hallo So, am 24.09 bin ich weiter nach Nha Trang.Dieser Sleeping-Bus war gar nicht schlimm, ich hatte eine Einzelliege und die Klima hat tatsaechlich funktioniert.Nur hatten der Bus ganz am Angang einen Platten und dann haben die einen Reifen ausgewechselt, der war so glatt wie ein Ei!! Nha Trang war am ersten Tag ganz fuerchterlich.Mein Hotel war nicht so besonders, aber man darf nicht meckern, wenn man ein Einzelzimmer mit Bad und Balkon bekommt. Da duerfen einen ein paar Tiere nicht stoeren!! Und als ich an der Strandpromenade entlanggelaufen bin, bin ich ungefaehr 30x gefragt worden, ob ich ein moto will, wo ich herkomme und wie ich heisse. Am naechsten Tag habe ich wieder ein Bootstour gemacht, mit Inselbesuch und Schnorcheln.War ganz lustig.Auch der Besuch im Aquarium hat mir sehr gefallen.Ich habe ein Tshirt in xl ... read more
