Hey everyone! Just so you know, I met up with my cross country tour group this morning and I'm now in Las Vegas! I've had a brilliant night out with them... we went to the pool at the Hard Rock Hotel and had a BBQ, then we went on a 'party bus' to the Belaggio and watched the fountain show. We had the option to go out clubbing afterwards but it's so bloody warm no one wanted to go! We have tomorrow as a 'free day' in Vegas and then we're off to Zion National Park the day after that to start camping! Yay camping! :P Speak soon! Much love, Streets. x... read more

Hello! I finished my three day tour down from San Francisco to Los Angeles yesterday. Travelled via Santa Babara, Santa Cruz, Monterey and Big Sur. It was a cool little trip, I got along very well with the tour leader, Rachel Bernhardt (Interpid/Trek America/Grand American Tours), and last night we went to see 'Rock of Ages' (the movie, not the stage show) and it was brilliant! I'd love to post some photos from the mini tour, especially the elephant seals we saw sunning themselves on a beach yesterday! They were so cute but also ridiculously ugly. Unfortunately the hostel only has one PC and it's the reception one, so I can't really take over! I might try to get online in the middle of the night so I'm not interferring with the receptionists... I'll see what ... read more

Just a quick note to say I've arrived safely in San Francisco! There's a huge market on Columbus today so I've had a mooch around there and went in the Beat Movement museum (just because my brother is a fan... I can't say I'm that impressed with Kerouac or Burroughs... although Bukowski is alright). I'm doing a night tour of Alcatraz tonight... ooo spooky! Will update again as soon as possible. Hey everyone! After a manic two weeks of 'camping' I'm now back in Seattle, at the Hilton no less! I can't really call it a camping trip as we only camped for 4 out of a possible 13 nights due to the horrendous weather, but to be honest that suited me just fine! I'm going to try to upload a few photos but the internet here is sadly lacking considering the reputation of the hotel! Ahhh! I've just uploaded a few photos but I have no time to actually write a blog now as I'm due to meet up with some of the girls from the tour in 5 minutes! Hey everyone! I found a little internet cafe in Jasper so I'm sending you a few lines but no photos I'm afraid, I forgot my camera lead. But rest assured, I will post a proper blog with photos as soon as possible (probably when I get to Vancouver next week). Well... where do I start?! We spent our first night in Canada camping at Pinantan Lake, we toasted marshmallows and introduced ourselves. There are seven girls and three boys on the trip and the majority of us are British. There is one Kiwi, one Aussy and one German just to mix it up a bit. Our tour guide, Becca, is from Iowa and has been working for Trek America for 4 seasons. Hi everyone! Welcome to my second Seattle entry. As usual, I have not given myself enough time to write this... I've just finished uploading the photos so I'll let them do the talking for me. Over the past week I have done the following things.... - been on an exceeding messy pub crawl. - visited the Seattle Art Museum. - bought a dress. - finished reading my book, 'Game of Thrones'. Now on to 'Crime and Punishment'. - Been on a 'Famous Dead Guy' tour in Seattle (Morbid, I know! Sorry about the cemetery photos!) - visited the gardens at Volunteer Park. - had my black vest silk-printed by an artist in the hostel. - eaten numerous crumpets. I think that's about it!
