Hello Tennessee Hope you have a good day today - when in Memphis, look up Elvis's house. I drove by when visiting FedX many years ago - no time for tour, but (back then early 1990's) there was a clipjoint across the street that called itself a museum -- at least it had a pink cadillac on the premises. LOVE YOU BOTH!
"No" on the DJ story CD Interesting that both Megsy and Kristin asked about the DJ story CD at th same time.
No, I haven't listen to it yet because -- frankly -- I'm not convinced that I'll be able to keep it together while listening to it. It'll have to wait until I'm alone in the temporary housing and can be prepared.
So I've officially controlled myself for long enough. I was good. I gave you two whole days of driving and then another half day too. Did you listen to the DJ story CD yet??
Whew! What a whirl-wind! I haven't been able to read your blog posts since yesterday afternoon, and for two people that are mostly driving, you do a lot!!
Miss y'all - glad to hear your trip is going well.
Matt Dillon is my Hero On the Road was my idea. Sorry if it doesn't make up for the sunscreen (which I didn't say was "silly," in that sun screen is silly, but I assumed you would either a) have it with you or b) be able to pick it up very easily, unlike many of the other items in the kit).
Cows I often "YAK" at cows. it seems to get their attention pretty well. And it keeps me occupied on long car rides. Also important.
Dj I hope you are feeling better. I too am sick, and so soon will all of Fratland.
Troutville There is a Troutville and a Troutdale along I-81 about 100 mils apart. Those trout get around. The AT crosses under I-81 a mile south of Trouville.
Tennessee is one of the prettiest states on your route. You have some serious mountain climbs coming today. Watch for cabins up the hollows. Stay safe, watch for trucks you are on the Big Bad I-40 now! Enjoy the ride
Glad you like the sky! Hi travelers - The blog seems out of date today - I had to hunt for your new one (DJ please put this on the list for you improved version). Thanks for all of the ideas...1/2 way there!!! Love Ya!
It comes in flavors? I think more folks might have picked up shakespeare if they knew it came in flavors!!! (another literacy idea - perhaps a patent or trademark should be investigated - right after the education theme park)...
I think it is funny that others want the next blogg---hee hee --- and just today someone said about how elementary teachers still are afraid of email ---helloooo - real world here.
While I understand you two are taking this who "technology in action" to an extreme (you do realize that - right) (and PS WHERE is the VIDEO???) --- technology is abundantly present in our society. Aren't we all enriched by sharing in your cow parts and spills adventures? --->>>getting off soap box - sorry...
Hope you are both doing OK and watch out for those tricky cornfields...
Love Ya!
And... Ok so there was chocolate and then cow parts (of varying sorts)...and now Katie is driving (that should improve the queasy stomach DJ)...And...waiting for the next chapter...DJ if Katie is going to drivie you have to do the technology part...Think of the people waiting for a statandkmac update!!!!
Maybe education should have a theme park and have roller coasters and things...then everyone would have fun and learn and want to come some more...and what a concept pay and play!!!! Love ya!
This mission began early in 2007 when DJ learned that he could be transfered to Texas. After deciding to go to Texas, DJ asked Katie, his younger sister, to make
the journey with him by car. Why have your company ship your car when you can have a company sponsored road trip?!
Origin: Londonderry, NH
Final Destination: Lewisville, TX
Time frame: Four Days... full info
