Hi all well this is the last leg of the journey and we are feeling a bit weary, but must admit it was so good to get into a nice hotel with clean bedding and hot water. Flight was great to new york there was only about 100 people on plane so we could all have a row each if we wanted and still there were rows of seats left, wish all flights were like this. Arrived at JFK and it was freezing not good. also we had travelled world with backpacks but it was only the americans that wanted to break them open with force and ruin bags, says it all really. slept for at least 12 hours the first night because we had not slept for about a week. but woke up fresh for

Got to hotel which was in a very nice area, called miraflores which is not central lima. but it has everything you could need. we had a walk around the town and felt quite happy cos it was not as congested as Santiago and we walked to the front and had a drink. However we decided against a swim in the sea, must be the most polluted that we have seen. was suprised people

Well after we were both sad to see the end of New Zealand we decided due to funds that we would cut short the trip but still go and see the places that we wanted to see most. So we flew in to santiago and managed to get a taxi to hotel. However when we got there was rather difficult to be understood as they only spoke spanish, and neither of us took much notice of the spanish tapes we brought before we left. oh well we managed to get to the room which was nice. we decided to only spend a small

With spent our last day in oz sunning our selfs on bondi beach then getting ready for our trip to new zealand. The flight was good only a couple of hours so that was nice we stayed at a local motel and they were really lovely. We have decided to hire a car and tour around both islands so we can try and get to see as much as possible. When we went to collect the car they apologised but it was not available but they would let us have an 8 seater people carrier for the same price so we were not complaining

We travelled from Malaysia to Singapore by train and that was an ordeal in itself. the trip should have taken 10 hours but took 18 hours cos the train kept breaking down. however us being snobs had booked first class so at least we had our own cabin and beds to sleep in (not bad for £20) beats british rail. flight over to oz was good and we arrived in Darwin in the early hours of the morning so had to hang around airport until 6am until town woke up. then got taxi to our hostel, well i thought i had been sent to prison we open the door to our cell 6ft by 10ft no windows

We have had a busy couple of days finished off seeing the sites in Thailand and visited phuket and the tiger caves. We decided to go to Malaysia for a week before lisa leaves to go back to uk. D-Day back up to Bangkok for a few days and to meet lisa at airport. and what an epic journey it turned into. Took us 17 hours by bus and that is with it breaking down 3 times. To start the day off the taxi forgot to pick us up for the bus, so that was an omen to start with. After our coach broke down 3 times, the last time 15 miles from Bangkok we decided to share a cab to the Khao san road. Did some shopping and the sights. 20th December lisa arrived after a very long flight travelling for
