Nick and I arrived in Kolkata where we were met by BJs cousin and his crazy driver. We were taken to the Guest House where BJs torturous beauty treatments had started! After a 20min nap in the traffic jams we arrived at College Street where all the Universities and old book shops are. We wandered along the old windy lanes lined with beautiful but rickety old [View Full Entry]

Hey all As they tend to say over here...Yah Yah tell me! So... I am getting a bit more settled into life here in Bangalore. Thought this would have been pretty straight forward but nope! The driver didn’t speak English, so I called one of my students so translate. She then said that the driver didn’t speak Hindi so she was going to get her husband to call. He then called and spoke to the driver in the local language f Kannada and we were off! Found some electrical shops, then ended up at a mall [View Full Entry]

Namaste! Hello from India. Oh, my first wee blog, never done this before so here goes... My week in Singapore was great fun and it was so nice to be back there after a few years. The weather was amazing and I met some very useful contacts in Raffles. So, now onto BangTheDoor - I arrived about 3weeks ago now and have been getting used to all the chaotic-ness, smelly, noise, dusty and fuem filled air, oh, and the random animals in the street! It's very different in pretty much everyway. Work is going well and we are starting to settle [View Full Entry]
