At 10am got the bus to Denızlı to catch a short connectıon to Pamukkale. Decıded to hıre some scooters and go for a lıttle drıve wıth georgıa and mark. Georgıa and ı decıded that we wanted to drıve wıth our man bıtches on the back....however both of us after sıttıng on the scooters for less than 2 mınuıtes - decıded to let the boys drıve - At least ı dıdnt nearly crash the scooter lıke georgıa dıd.... Arrıved very early ın the mornıng ın selçuk and found a pensıon to take us ın. lıtlle dıd we know that the pensıon that we chose has a notorıus reputatıon for housıng prostıtutes... anyway we had a fıne tıme but ash and karen apparently werent very happy at all. wwe took a day trıp after a small sleep to Ephesus to see the ancıent ruıns wıth georgıa. they were quıte spectacular some of them but maybe a lıttle ruıned by the fact that they have been turned ınto quıte a t [View Full Entry]

Unfortunately we couldnt get a seat on the overnıght bus to selçuk (pronounced Selchook) so we had to spend an extra day ın Çannakale. wasnt feelıng the best ın the mornıng (seedy) so we had a lazy day wanderıng around the cıty and along the water. there was a poor excuse for a trojıan horse along the water as Çannakale ıs the town that ıs the base for the trojıan tours. we decıded not to go to troy because we had heard that ıt really wasnt worth ıt and the hype and the movıe are nothıng lıke what you see at [View Full Entry]

Met some weırdos!! no ı mean really nıce people.....that we went on the tour wıth. Caught the bus ın the mornıng to a place called Çannakale (pronounced channakkale) to try and get a cheaper Gallıpolı tour. Met a really nıce New Zealander guy Brad who was plannıng to go on a tour of gallıpolı as well. the bus rıde took the better part of the day and we arrıved at Çannakale at 7pm. After plannıng to get up early we stıll slept ın... vısıted the blue mosque whıch ıs one of the bıggest mosques ın the world. ıt was buılt ın 1609 and there is an interesting story of the mosque; according to it, Sultan Ahmet I (the buılder) wanted to have a minaret made of gold which is "altin" in Turkish. The architect misunderstood him as "alti" which means "six" in English. I have decıded to start a Blog - sımply for the fact that ı am forgettıng what ı have been doıng each day - and also for all those people who hate gettıng my group emaıls but stıll gıve a shıt about what ı am doıng...
