All, Well, yes we have finally made it to Madrid and had one full night here. Getting here was quite the adventure though. When we had booked our flights, We were supposed to go from St. Louis to Boston, and then Boston to Madrid. Well, here I am again, writing a blog in preparation for an upcoming trip to Europe. Seems like only yesterday traveling abroad was just a pipe dream, something that was always talked about with an asterisk but never executed. All, Well, as I think most of you probably know, I am back in St. Louis, and starting to get back into the swing of things stateside. I spent my last night in Europe getting rained on in Dublin and sleeping with the window open in my Temple Bar hostel so I could hear the Irish music drifting through the air. All, Well, I have just arrived in Dublin, Ireland, am ready to put the finishing touches on what has been an awesome trip. I fly out at 9am tomorrow to NYC, and spend the day and night there, before heading back to St. Louis early Thursday afternoon just in time to catch the Blues season opener that night and celebrate my Dad's birthday with some nice St. Louis style pizza. All, Well I arrived in Fussen, Germany yesterday looking for a couple days of just rest and relaxation, and that is exactly what I have found. The city is at the southern tip of the German Tourist boards self-created and so called "Romantic Road", and is the home to the two famous castles of King Ludwig II of Bavaria. There are the ones that the Disney Castle was apparently modeled after, and they are breathtaking. All, Well, I am glad to be typing because my throat is pretty darn sore from THE Oktoberfest. In Munich, every mention of the Oktoberfest is always prefixed with the word "THE", so I guess we maybe know where Ohio St got the idea for their little thing. All, Well, I am coming to you live from the middle of the international drinking festival otherwise known as Oktoberfest, and let me tell you right out of the hopper that Oktoberfest is exactly the way you would picture it, and lives up to all the expectations that you might have for it. All, Well I have made it to the eastern-most destination of my trip: Budapest, Hungary. Honestly, I will just throw it out there that I do not know a ton about this city or this country, and I am not going to even pretend otherwise. All, Well, since the last update, I have been just hanging out here in the CK, just relaxing at the hostel and around town. On Tuesday, the weather took a turn for the Autumn worst as it was grey, rainy, cold, and cloudy. It was actually kind of relaxing as the only expectations for the day were to hang out at the Krumlov House and drink coffee all day.
