Another long long day, going to bed late and getting up early is starting to take a toll on us. Today we went to Universal Studios (bit like Movie World). We paid an extra $20 to get front of the line passes, which literally took you to the front of the line for each ride or show, it was great, no lining up! The pass also included behind the scenes after each show, where they explain how things were done and you can meet the actors and have a photo- which I enjoyed. We did the usual stuff, a studio tour. Day started early again. Only had about 4 ½ hours sleep last night. Left our Hollywood hotel and caught the 7.20 train to Downtown LA and then connected with a bus to go to Anaheim. Arrived at Anaheim at 10am and checked into our Hotel. We traveled this whole trip on a $3 all day metro ticket. A cab was going to cost $100! (Disneyland is just across the road from our hotel). HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOHN !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (even tho its the 21st for us 2mrw!) Today was a bit of a catch up day on things we didn’t see enough of. So prob a bit boring for you to read. Had a bit of a sleep in finally to 9.30am. Went down stairs where our private limo picked us up with James our driver (such a limo driver name I recon). Neway it was private for about 5 mins until we picked up 6 others. So we headed off for our tour of Hollywood stars homes. First he took us up to some restaurant on the hill which gave us a closer look at the 'Hollywood' sign and a look over Hollywood (very nice). Hi all, another HUGE day. Got up at 8am and went on a day tour of LA. - Started at Farmer's Market- market food & outdoor shopping centre (The Grove) - Then went Downtown LA, which we found boring. Went past Staples centre where we will be visiting tomorrow to go to the Ice Hockey. Just a couple of markets. Although the tour guide wasn’t too keen in showing us around so maybe we didn't see everything. Bought a scarf for $3.50 it was dam cold there. - Then went down Hollywood Boulevard. Wow! What a day. A 48 hour Sunday the 17th of December. So it has been a huge Sunday and started off frantically packing at our place in Parkdale. Mum and Dad dropped us off at Melbourne Airport (without Zhara- much to my disgrace) for our 6pm (Sunday nite) flight to Sydney. In Sydney we went through customs (just a bit of a patdown and 'do you have any liquids, gels or aerosols' which was asked a few too many times. Hello all! Welcome to Sez n Benn do America!!! Well we havn't left yet!!! But we are very excited about going. Anyhoo I will just update on what the go is. Well we leave on Sunday Dec 17 and fly into Los Angeles and Hollywood for a few days. From there we go to Anaheim and go to Disneyland for a few days and spend xmas there.
