Arrived at 5am pretty much... so head to the hostel, they gave us a code to get in so early... Madison slept on the floor of reception and I made a bed out of 2 chairs... had 2 and a half hours to kill so pretty much slept, when more people joined us at 7 we moved to sleeping on the table... eventually at 8am the woman came and we were able to check in so got some time sleeping in a bed for an hour. Head off to catch a bus to Niagara at 10 and ended up sleeping on the bus too... arrived at the sheraton and had a wait before the shuttle picked us up, took us to the Howard Johnston where we paid for our tour then we joined Sheri's mini... turns ... read more

Madison and I got the bus from Phillie to DC on Tuesday... without Claire so it was really odd! Had a sweaty walk/hike to our hostel, luckily someone stopped and aske dus if we were staying at the student centre and showed us the way... good job otherwise we would have never found it, not marked or anything. Checked in and got to our room... were sharing with 6 others and 4 were already there so got chatting and made some friends which was good fun and they told us alot about the city! Arrived in LA on Monday, hade difficulty finding our hostel as there was two with the same name, but bumped into a guy offering a limo ride around all the stars homes for $25 and i made him help Claire and Madison with their bags. Checked in... at first I didnt pay attention but as soon as we got in our room I realised what a dump we were in... 2 bunk beds which did not look stable, stained carpet, dodgy lock on the door and what appeared to be poop smeared on the wall... but for 20 bucks on Hollywood blvdm we still felt the need to complain! Stayed the night at Tanya's house. On Tuesday morning (21st) she dropped us off at the Boston airport shuttle bus, we said a quick goodbye because we knew we'd be seeing her again. Checked in fairly easily, Claire and Madison had to shuffle their luggage as it was overweight... not a good sign for our first day! Plane was quick and Blades of Glory was played so that passed time. Arrived in Miami and it was boiling. Taxi to our hostel which was close so nice and cheap. Hostel seemed nice, friendly irish guy on the desk, were too early so left our luggage and went for a wonder. Can't believe there is only one more week left of camp! The site crashed so my entries were lost but now they're back but my photo and comments are gone :( Alot has happened since I wrote last... So last day off when I wrote... 24/7/07 we went to Otter brook Dam, a little lake with a beach so it was nice and relaxing. Had another skit night with our bunks, ours was awful... Started to get on quite well with my new kids, annoying they were only 2 weekers, I felt like they settled in and then had to leave! Had a mission impossible evening... basically had to sit outside the LTGS cabin and wait for kids to come and complete their mission to send them off to the next station.
