Arrived at 5am pretty much... so head to the hostel, they gave us a code to get in so early... Madison slept on the floor of reception and I made a bed out of 2 chairs... had 2 and a half hours to kill so pretty much slept, when more people joined us at 7 we moved to sleeping on the table... eventually at 8am the woman came and we were able to check in so got some time sleeping in a bed for an hour. So when we eventually landed after all the rain on the runway we got our bags and head to our new best friend the CTA which would take us all over the city. Took 2 trains, 2 hours and one spotting of an albino to get to our hostel so by 2am, now another hour behind the UK, we eventually got to sleep in the 'I love Lucy and Liz' room. Madison and I got the bus from Phillie to DC on Tuesday... without Claire so it was really odd! Had a sweaty walk/hike to our hostel, luckily someone stopped and aske dus if we were staying at the student centre and showed us the way... good job otherwise we would have never found it, not marked or anything. Checked in and got to our room... were sharing with 6 others and 4 were already there so got chatting and made some friends which was good fun and they told us alot about the city! Flew from LAX to Atlanta to Philly on Friday. Tanya picked us up with her friend Dave, again nice to see a familiar face. Head to her school - the Uni of Delaware... As soon as we got to her (soroity) house we had to get changed and head to her friend's apartment. Played some beer pong... THE game of America... basically throwing ping pong balls into RED CUPS! Arrived in LA on Monday, hade difficulty finding our hostel as there was two with the same name, but bumped into a guy offering a limo ride around all the stars homes for $25 and i made him help Claire and Madison with their bags. So we flew to Cali on the 24th to San Fransisco. Took us a while to find out how to get our hotel but in the end only cost us $5 each. Up a few hills and got to our hotel, for such a cheap price we were impressed and glad to have our own room. Went to china town for lunch, i had soup and a bowl of $1 rice trying to watch my pennies. Stayed the night at Tanya's house. On Tuesday morning (21st) she dropped us off at the Boston airport shuttle bus, we said a quick goodbye because we knew we'd be seeing her again. Checked in fairly easily, Claire and Madison had to shuffle their luggage as it was overweight... not a good sign for our first day! So Camp ended on the 20th of August, which wseems so long ago now! The last week of camp awas very hectic. The counsellors were presenting Final reflections and final council fire so we had dance practise and singing pratice... much to the dismay of my friend's ears... So White won on final field day meaning white tribe won the entire summer competing which was great fun, we all got beads for our necklaces for that. Can't believe there is only one more week left of camp! The site crashed so my entries were lost but now they're back but my photo and comments are gone :( Alot has happened since I wrote last... So last day off when I wrote... 24/7/07 we went to Otter brook Dam, a little lake with a beach so it was nice and relaxing. Had another skit night with our bunks, ours was awful... Well the last day off a week ago seems like it was just yesterday. What an ace day we had! Went shopping and it was so hard not to go OTT! Tanya gave us a tour of her town, saw her high school etc. Went back to hers and lounged in the Sun with a margarita which was nice, second one went straight to my head.
