Saturday, October 24, 2009 Malina and I were going to go to Adafoa this weekend but with my current stomach situation we decided to stay closer to home. This is an angry note with lots of cursing just to let you know in advance. Oh you know, today was your typical Ghanaian day. The world shat upon our faces. My room was broken into and all of malina’s money for the REST OF THE TRIP (which she got out of the bank LAST NIGHT) was stolen. She had to get out the rest of her money because her bank is switching from visa to mastercard and they don’t do mastercard in Ghana. Friday, Oct 16, 2009 We left early for Kumasi! Along the way there I, with all the other ladies, peed in lost of female urinals. Toilets are so cool and amazing but I will say yet again my pride in my female urinal abilities- it’s so gross. The drive was pretty darn far and took 6 hoursish to make it. Monday, October 5, 2009 In class today we were informed that we have an exam next week which is worth 50% of our grade. I’m glad that the readings for class were just made available last week! Friday, October 2, 2009 I got up at 5:30, Left at 545 to head off to Togo! I left with Heidi, Nikki, Ana, Patrick and Jeff (Ana had to go to class for a quiz so would be meeting us there later). Saturday, September 26, 2009 I was sick again last night- I love violent puking. I just wish I could pinpoint exactly what it is that makes me sick here- I’ve already quit the delicious egg sandwiches from the night market because they always seem to do it (but they taste so freaking good). Today I ate oatmeal, soup and bread from the vegan cart and I cooked my own veggies. What the hell? And I cooked the veggies for like 30 minutes so there’s no way any bacteria survived that inferno. Green Turtle Lodge Adventure: September 18-20 Part I: Global Civic Preservation Friday, 7:30am- 1:30pm Today I got up early to finish packing and get everything ready for my adventurous weekend ahead of me! Monday September 14, 2009 Feel better today but am still really tired and weak. I met some of the other people from North Carolina today, more specifically, a guy from Elon that went to Broughton that was Ben’s rommmate freshman year so I actually stayed in his dorm 3 years ago and now I’m seeing him here half way across the world!
