Brings Back Great Memories I love your blog. It brings back all the memories of Rome and Tuscany. I'm glad you're having such a great time. I always find the hardest thing is getting back to Oz and wondering where the wine is at 11:00am!
About Italian.... Hi Sand
First of all it has been so fun reading ur experiences in such a grat country like Italy.
The message is just about the instauration of the democratic rule in 1948, after WWII, as well as a message for Italians not to forget the strict rule of a fascist government.
Tuscan Travellers Hi Gayle, Tuscany has not been as expensive as we had thought. We have all managed to keep to our budget so far. Clarkee is enjoying the food even though he is vegetarian!!! (We think??) To become a Gully Traveller you just have to be a sponsor for the next trip and be involved in the organisation which means meeting regularly for planning. Having a really great time and glad you are enjoying the blog. Just arrived in the Cinque Terra, check for updates!!
Shopping in Italy Hi Pat, having a wonderful time and loving Italy. Tuscany was better than anything we could imagine!! Havent found Susan Grae in Italy but still having a great time. Thanks for responding to the blog it is great to keep in touch. Robyn
Beautiful sun Hello, very inviting indeed summer days in the fields - lovely! Lots of tracking means plenty of food and drinks may be consumed - yipee! Adam is off to Broome today for a few days work - I hope he's back for his birthday? Have fun! :)
Tuscany I wish I was there with you guys- it certainly is the trip of a lifetime and what better way to do it than with such great friends. The memories will last you a lifetime.
I did think that it was very cruel of you Robyn to send me a text message about how wonderful everything was while I was about to go to work in downtown Melton. The song"It should have been me" keeps popping into my head!!!!
Sandra you are lucky that you get to practice your parking because it is exactly the same in Paris- it's amazing that no one seems to mind a dint here or there in their cars. You really need to see it to believe it don't you.
You get an amazing feeling inside you when you see things that you have seen as a child. I hope you all soak up every minute and take lots of photos so that we can have a "slide night" when you all get home.
Robyn I am glad to hear that you got the promotion to "house keeper" and have the ultra important job of sorting the clothes into correct colour piles. Some people might think that is an easy job, but after being to Phuket we know how difficult it can be to get your correct coloured clothing back.
I love reading the antics of the Gully Travellers so keep them coming. Is it as expensive as you thought it would be- are you all sticking to the budget????
Where do you go after Tuscany?
The most important questions however are - is Clarkee OK with all that rich Italian food and secondly how do I become a Gully Traveller? Maybe you should consider a name change - the Tuscan Travellers sounds so much more sophisticated,
No Pub Crawl Sorry Nick we ran out of time to do the pub crawl, though we have managed to do a few wine bar crawls over the past few days!! Maybe one day we can all come back and you can take us on the pub crawl in Rome!!
tough huh well you are doing ot tough , all the walking and exercising you did to build up for trip was all about going in as featherweights so you could eat and drink yourselves bloody stupid!
sounds like a blast and the photos are great.
funny how life is so busy here and you and kerrie catch up there, haha.
life is the norm here, so soldier on to all those little ristorante"s and piazzas and bars and i will think of you fondly haha xx love you xx
Envy Hi All, I am so jelous gorgeous scenary and good times! Only 2 weeks of work until where off - Yipee!!!!
Have a fantastic time and take care xo :)
Jealous I'm so jealous, probably not for the sore feet from all the walking. The delay was obviously for a good reason. Glad you are having fun and finding the time to keep all us non travellers at home informed. Enjoy
Hello there.... Anne has passed on your blog which is a fantastic idea. So happy you are there and enjoying the holiday, how could you not! Looking forward to reading about the journey. x.
FABULOUS! Can't believe you did Rome in two days (and not get run over by the psycho drivers!). Glad you loved the Colosseum. Amazing. Can't wait to hear about Tuscany - don't forget to try 7 year old balsamic vinegar (or older if you can get your hands on it!).
Rome I told you Rome was good but I did notice there was no mention of any pub crawls I hope that is just because you ran out of room to right and not that you didn't go on any :) hope your having fun love you
