Hola Amigos, Hope you are all well wherever you may be. Here are the latest notes from my adventures in Ecuador... 6th & 7th April, Ibarra, Hotel El Ejecutivo, 7USD So the long and winding road from the border of Colombia leads me down to Ibarra and first introduction of Ecuador. There is not much to mention about this town and after spending one day wondering around the streets we decide to head on to Quito, the capital of Ecuador. I was still travelling with Señor Cesar at this point and we travelled together all the way to the south of Ecuador. I have to mention here the on the way from Colombia to Ecuador we had to pass a lot of VERY high mountains. Unfortunately, my right ear popped! I think from being at ... read more

Journey into the Unknown Hello Peeps! After a rollercoaster few months in Asia I have finally managed to hop across the pond know as the pacific ocean to the promised land, South America and have been here in Colombia for almost three weeks now. From Philippines to Colombia it took me a mega three days and five flights and also one incident of landing at my destination airport BEFORE I had even taken off.. Hmm confusing yeah, took me a while to work it out as well... Lying on a beach in the south of Philippines, I fly to the north to Manila first and from there, I book two separate tickets. One gets me to Los Angeles, which I book through EVA airlines, nice and cheep at 500USD. There is a connection in Taipei Taiwan, ... read more

They ask our guide where he saw any Rangers on the way. It's illegal to The wood their carrying We get to the Viewpoint around 12noon. Mandalay, 2nd - 4th December Bus from Bagan to Mandalay 8,500Kyats 8+half hours, ...km Dep 07:00 arrive 15:30hours Royal Guesthouse, twin room with fan & shared bathroom 4USD The bus from Bagan to Mandalay is small and the seats don't recline, but I have just enough leg space and relived not to get DVT. The drive is nice and it is the only bus journey I manage to do during the day as the Burmese love to travel by night. The road is much better this time. I arrive in the evening to be confronted by hotel touts for the first time, just two of them though and again very polite, very friendly and not pushy, unlike some other countries in SEA. The one bloke not promoting a hotel but asking me if I need a ... read more
