So in order to get to Nepal cheap i booked a flight on Biman Airlines.... the national airline of Bangledesh, and therefore had a night layover in Dhaka, the capital city. The airline was alright.. kinda sketch, esp. because i heard horror stories from two belgians who got stuck in the dhaka airport for 2 days when their plane had to turn around an reland due to too many technical problems. its also a little suspicious when the whole plane claps and cheers when the pilot successfully lands the plane without crashing. Because you technically need a visa to enter, we [View Full Entry]

ok so here's the deal... im writing this blog in thailand, where i am for the next 2 days for the thai new year aka the water festival, and it's absolutely amazing... complete madness in the streets with thousands of people armed with super soakers.... unbelievable fun. anyways, the point is, ths blog is going to be very short for that reason, and basically bc there is not much to say abotu frankfurt. one day in the city would have been enough for sure, 4 was extreme overkill. everyone, including the locals say that theres nothing to do there. myself and [View Full Entry]

So ive wanted to go to thailand for a while, and have been so amped this trip at the thought that it was one of the stops. on my flight over from frankfurt, the realization set in that in a few hours i would be there, and kindof got a little nervous that it wouldnt live up to my expectations.... let me tell you... Thailand is amazing. i only saw prob about 5 blocks of bangkok, and i love it. the people are friendly (even though most are always trying to rip you off), the food is amazing, and the waterfestival/ [View Full Entry]

After a long weekend, and an excruciating day of travel sarah and i ended up back at sarah's flat in tours, a small city south of paris. Sarah teaches english to 4th and 5th graders and has been living over here since september (not sure if i mentioned that yet or not), anyways, i wanted to meet all of her friends, and experience a ''day-in-the-life'of walshie so i decided it would be fun, and alot lighter on the wallet to hang at her place for a couple of days before meeting dusty up in amsterdam on the 30th. I ended up [View Full Entry]

Bon jour! So where do i begin.... i guess i'll start with my flight, seeing as how that was an experience on it's own. First off, let me just say that online check-in to a 7 hour flight is pretty crucial seeing as how apparently everyone does it now (except me obviously). turns out, you can select your seat online 24 hours before the flight, so when i came in 2 hours before and asked for an aile or window the woman laughted at me. i ended up sitting, dead ass center seat of the center row of the plane... translate...
