sick? - From: Kiev - WOW!
Get some vitamin D 3 drops and take them every day. I put them i my morning juice. Get your D levels checked. Mine were 26. Now they are 64 which is good. Haven't gotten sick once since I started this regime. Highly recommeded for you and you friends.

Was that Spam or a serious question?!! - From: Sevastopol and the Black Sea Fleet
Well there are ATMs everywhere so don't worry about cash too much. There are loads of places to exchange currency too. As for restrictions, no idea! Google it???

Currency and car rental - From: Sevastopol and the Black Sea Fleet
Hi, thanks for your blog. Have you any advice, comments or concerns about currency. I mean exchanges, how much US cash to take to exchange. What about Visa and debit cards, MasterCard and Travelers’ checks. I also plan to rent a car in Odessa to travel to Poltava. I am leaving New York next week. I would appreciate any help. Thanks again. Jeff J. California

Iranian artist traveling! - From: Sumqayit - Oh we do like to be beside the seaside!
Hi guys, I was reading your blogs and I found Azerbaijan more interesting that I thought:) I'm an Iranian artist and planing to go to Azerbaijan...I was wondering if you could help me out to find any local person over there to be my guide...also I'm going to explore the country in a real way so I was thinking to stay with local people instead staying in soulless hotel room.but I have no clue... so any help or information from you guys will be appreciated. Thank you so much and good luck wherever you are in the world:) All me best, Bahar

Hi, glad the weather's getting better for you. Just a thought ..... your roundabut is the colours of the national flag and if you look at the map of Azerbaijan (with a bit of a squint and no glasses) and with a bit of imagination as well, I think the shape of the country looks a little like a head, albeit with rather a large nose pointing to the right and hair to the left (or should it be east and west?). Love to you both, Jacqui and Dave

Hi Russ and Trish, Great to see that you made it to Pcawl and good to hear it was windy as always! And the new Borders in Cardiff sounds very exciting - I look forward to paying it a visit. It all seems very far away from Bogota though, where we find ourselves at the moment. Also, I would love to buy your house but fear that you want more than 10 quid for it. I will pass on the details to friends in that area though and let you know if I hear anything back! Take care and "pob lwc" for Syria, Ruth
