| 27th April 2007 anonymous | Very nice work. - From: Campy Music Videos for Xmas! Wow, Monica! I'm very impressed with what you are doing. I have always thought of how cool it would be to do that kind of thing, but have never taken the leap. And, alas, now I am married with two very young kids, so it would be nearly impossible. I definitely envy you. Thank you for commenting on my blog. I hope you stop by more often. Your insights were very intelligent and helpful in an area that I have little understanding. Reasic |
| 18th April 2007 Jamila | airplane house - From: Abuja The building which is built like an airplane above is not a hotel. It is a house which was built by a prominent Abuja businessman in honor of his wife's love of travel. |
| 13th March 2007 BGmail | renewable energy - From: Whose Power? Welldone ;) what a great gift ! Abundance of Sun . Its a pity we are not making the best use of our resources. In this age Nigera as a country cant guarantee a day of Electicity supply for the whole nation. i would love to be part of the body promoting renewable energy in nigeria. If i have my way i would love to wor for a compnay that deals with renew able energy and research into how this could be make affordable for the mass. If you wait on the government to do everything; nothing will be achieved. |
| 4th March 2007 Philippe | Reason for WInter hat and coat - From: Abuja The man wearing the winter outfit does so as he is on a motorcycle with no protective gear. The winds well traveling on full speed get up to 90kmphr and he has nothing to protect him from the cold!! |
| 20th January 2007 Eti Umana | Renaissance of CRS - From: Calabar Christmas Carnival The cultural renaissance which Gov. Duke has revived in CRS odd to be a model for all the states in Nigerian, but especially the south south which has a rich cultural heritage. This is what people all over the world would lcome to see, then go home with memories about the people. I was there and had a good time. I do plan to be back next year and after that. |
| 19th January 2007 Richard Lam | Canuckadian - From: Abuja You're an inspiration. Sustainability has been momentarily displaced, in my mind, with my architecture studies, but it's always there. Keep writing so we can keep track of you. xoxo |
| 19th January 2007 Queen Ebong | It was Fun filled all the way - From: Calabar Christmas Carnival Calabar Christmas Carnival was fun filled all the way, its something everyone looks forward to every year. | 27th November 2006 Robbie | - From: Abuja FYI, DC's one of the biggest urban disparities anywhere. Actually, I believe it is the biggest in the States. You have the richest county in the country (Fairfax) next to the city with the highest poverty, AIDS and, at one point, murder rates in the country. As for how planned it has remained, that I really don't know. I'm hoping, BTW, that you've read James C Scott's "Seeing Like a State" - integral for this debate. Ah heck, you probably wouldn't be harping on this topic that much if you hadn't :) Can't wait to hear more from you! |

| 5th November 2006 fiona | - From: Abuja you're a good writer monica.... very interesting. i was momentarily phased by the guy in your plane picture in a tuque and winter coat (how come you got to go work somewhere that wasn't set to broil?) - then i remembered it had probably dropped down to a mere 30 degrees C. brrr! |
