Took this photo not long after the earthquake - the beginning of about 5 hours of chaos with everyone trying to get home.
EARTHQUAKE Well.. Where do I start?? What a crazy experience. First - I'm ok, and yes I'm out now of Chengdu. Thanks to all who checked in on me! So as promised - I'll try and fill you in on everything that happened. Chengdu airport

The longest train ride ever.. Holy doley. I have got no idea what possessed me to catch on a train for 31 hours! It was the longest train ride ever! But before we get to that I'll bring you up to speed. Tiananmen Last Thu I was able to get into Tiananmen Square and get some snapshots. China has definately tried cleaning it up in preparation for the Olympics - yet locals can still hold their kids up to pee into the bins when they need to go to the look in the middle of the square?? Ni Hao! So far so good... Everything seems to be travelling along nicely so far. Arrived in Beijing last Friday night and managed to get to my hotel without any dramas. (Highly recommend travelling business class to anyone who has the chance - you get real Salmon and single malt whiskey, and so many movies to watch that I wanted the flight to keep going.) The new Beijing airport is out of control.
