isla de ometepe, island constituated of two active volcanoes that have joined. a little piece of paradise, very relaxed, very calm, hammock life! a little too calm for natasha. we stayed in a farm, where we had to autostop a pick up truck (an american kid on a christianisation mission on the island, really colonialism), then walk for 30 minutes with our huge backpacks up a steep hill to finally arrive to this farm reputated for its coffe production. i think the place where i met the most french people in such a small place. during the day we went hiking [View Full Entry]

not planned, three day escape to el salvador where i discovered san salvador, the greatest city of central america. off to la libertad and playa sunzal, one of the greatest surf spots in central america if not the best. basically a beach, huge waves, two internet cafe and two hostels. that s about it in the village, not even a place to buy soap and toothpaste! the most beautiful thing i ve ever seen. no words to describe, maybe pictures. i jumped from a cliff 10 meters high in the river, scary... we were staying in lanquin, a village with maybe 15 inhabitants. no atms, no internet except for satellite connection. sleeping on hammocks in the jungle, surrounded by scorpios, spiders, snakes... and as if itwas not enough sleeping outside with all these scary animals, there was also a storm! tikal, great mayan ruins! we woke up at 3 in the morning to go see the sunrise on top of the rainforest, sitting on top of that huge temple. we were staying in flores, on the lake peten itza( little island in maya). we met lots of great people, probably the place where we had the most fun.
