So last weekend i was in La ceiba for their carnival. Different to any carnival ive been to before. Totally disorganised! the parade took for ever as people kept walking infront of the floats the soldiers kept trying to keep people back by pushing them but it was a waste of time. Funny seen soldiers with machine guns pushing kids about. Everyone at the carnival seemed to have a necklace they were throwing them from the floats and it basically meant that people were almost prepared to crush each other to death to get them . This should follow the previous entry. yeah so belize made me proud to be British. what was good about it? First of all no litter here the people are educated enough to know what a bin is! secondly nobody pulls at your arm when your walking! You can drink the tap water! They have the Queen on their notes and she was looking good! The woman do not spit on the floor as much! Yes Belize i salute you, its time to claim it back i say! Reminds me of Gibraltar. Yes ive gone photo mad it normally taks about 15 mins to put one bloody photo on but this computer must me a new superbreed or something. So I went did this thing where you go and stay with a local indeginous family in the nubi selba (Cloud forest) it was amazing one of the best things ive done in my life. Totally isolated, 4 hours to get there including a hard 3 hour treck through the jungle no tourits there whatever. The house i stayed in had no electricity and you wash in the stream. Just wanted to write a few thoughts on central america. Lets start with the important things, gingers! 5 in mexico, 1 in Guatemala ( geordie girl toasting in the sun) so not sure that counts, el Salvador no gingers and Honduras 1 in danli a local who looked suspiciously like an english football hooligan. Crap maths now this is important. No matter what shop or restaurant you go in and no matter how little you buy even if its only 2 items costing say 30 lempiras and 20 lempiras you can be guaranteed that the intelectual behind the counter will use [View Full Entry]
