Though we travel the world over to find the beautiful we must carry it with us or we find it not. A good traveler has no welldefined plan and is not intent on arriving.
Ending Times

That night I walked into Joe's room to find a tall man sitting on his bed. It was Andy the couchsurfer from Germany who was staying with Joe while I was for a week or two. We talked for a little while about our adventures and then he crashed out. His flight had been long and he had travelled all dayI knew that kind of exhaustion. So I went to a show with Lucas the manager of the Lofts. We

The next day I filled my belly with sushi at Little Tokyo the ldquoJapanTown.rdquo The day after that I looked at my maps and decided to head to the famed Venice Beach. I walked to Union Station and waited for the Red Line 33 to show. The guy next to me was wearing a very fashionable suade hat with a feather in it. While I was admiring his attire he whipped out a harmonica and played a

So I'm getting lazy towards the end of my tripI'm just posting pictures with intentions of typing the stories later...but then by the time later swings around I've already forgotten those funny little stories. You'll just have to catch me in person one day and maybejust maybeone will pop into my mind and I'll start laughing and tell you. Because inevitably that is how my brain works.

Halfway there as I began to follow the crosswalk a little white car pulled up right in front of me parking or something. How rude I almost had time to work up some anger and then Need a ride It was Josh. I smiled. We drove to Golden Gate Park. We got out and

I have to get sidetracked a little and remember the mountains.I was out of breath we weren't really walking fast but it was all uphill steep steep steep. Fawn and Glenn were ahead of me I lagged behind and Fawn's dog Jessie kept pausing to look back make sure I was still in sight.I grabbed onto a tree branch as I stepped over a root and I noticed that my hands felt funny.
Wanderings

Sometimes I don't even use a map. I just fill up my water bottle and head in a general direction. Sometimes this is good sometimes this is bad. Most always it is an adventure.Like yesterday when I stumbled upon the Presidio graveyard. It was like being on another planet. A planet of bright bleach white and green green grass with a blue blue sky. Then I stumbled upon a twisted little path

I am staying with a family in Eugene. On Sunday my wonderful host Debbie and I packed up and headed to the coast. It only took about an hour to arrive and the little coastal towns reminded me of that part of Maine. Except when we got to the actual beaches. The towns seem more spread out than back east so there is more beach area that is surrounded by forest or just that one main road. Debbiesa

It really made me think about my own trip and sort of inspired me.Che and his best friend hopped on their beaten motorcycle and rode off into an adventure redicovering their South American home and its people. I've hopped onto my motorcycle but this feels more structured and ster
