Well we are sitting at the airport now waiting for the flight from Honolulu to auckland. We have had a great time, but I know I am looking forward to seeing everyone again... Don't know about mum though... So after driving 9239kms over 25 days, 16 countries and 14 states of the USA, 28 hotels and 29 hotel beds, 13 flights and 63 hours and 7 mins of flying, we will be happily in our own homes, doing the washing hehehe... Lucky we finished it off with a limo taxi ride to the airport! See you all very very soon!... read more

On Friday, after a delay out of las Vegas and another delay out of san Francisco we finally made it to Hawaii... Although it was so late we didn't do anything other than check in hehe Have a full ocean view overlooking waikiki beach and it is awesome!!! So sat we had a look through brochures over breakfast and decided to do a luau and a full island circle tour, so booked those, the luau for that night and the island tour for Sunday. With that mission accomplished I then went and investigated surf schools... Went and got changed into swimmers and signed myself up! It was amazing!!! I had so much fun! There was only 3 of us in the group which is was good, not too many people for me to embaress myself in ... read more

And yes it is to be sung just as Springsteen would have it, as we heard that song a billion times in the lead up to Independence Day!! Also i mist apologise for the lack of blog, we have internet access issues, and there probably won't be any photos in this one for a similar reason... So from Niagara we ventured down to Pennsilavnia to the land of chocolate, Hershey. This also just happens to be Amish country too... But we started off with Hersehey's Chocolate World to tryand figure out what was so great about their chocolate. Well, i don't know if we found that out, but their tour was loads of fun!!! Completely free and you ride in a little cart thing that takes you around and the cows teach you about how they ... read more

On Monday we got to ottawa. After some fun and games with storms, we finally went for a lovely walk alongside the river, by the locks and around the back of parliament house, the courts and the mint, alongside lake Ontario with the sun setting gorgeous colours. As we came around to the front of the courts and parliament we saw some of the preparations for the Canada day celebrations and scored a free listen in on the rehearsals which was awesome! The next day we were getting ourselves ready for the drive to niagara, we managed to see the changing of the guard parade come down the street and turn the corner in front of our hotel from our room window! By the time we got to niagara it was late afternoon, bi that didn't ... read more

Ok we have been in Canada for a while now and I have been slack in not updating... QUEBEC CITY So we did the big drive up from Boston to Quebec city on Wednesday... Except we made it bigger by getting lost getting out of Boston! We drove up via Maine which was absolutely gorgeous! The road followed the river for the most part which was really lovely and made a long drive better. Just out of portsmouth in Maine we had a stop to visit the life size chocolate moose, Lenny. He is made of solid chocolate and had some chocolate bear friends to keep him company, it was kinda cool actually... But very random hehe So we then continued on north quite satisfied with finding a life size chocolate moose. We finally got to ... read more

Yes i know you all knew it... i tried hiding it for a while, but you know these things happen hehehe... so we are in Boston... well, we have been since Sunday evening and we leave (early) tomorrow morning, so here are the adventures in between... Sunday, not alot... getting maps and getting lost is about all.. oh and watching the weather channel and working out what the Celcius conversions were hehehe... predicted severe thunderstorms for the Boston region for Monday... Monday... despite severe thunder storm warning, we headed to Harvard... when we got there, the sky was BLACK and the rain was pouring on down.... there was a river down the stairs to the train station... so after a while we gave up cos i didn't want to visit Harvard in the rain after having ... read more

So after a way too early start on Wednesday to leave London we have spent the last 4 nights in new york. Wow! Everything is massive and lit up in bright lights! We stayed right in the theatre district near time square, so no wonder really! The first night we just kinda took it easy, grabbed brochures and went through them and walked around to get our bearings, and had a well earned early night... We had decided we would get a double Decker city sights bus ticket as it was the easiest and most cost effective mode of transport around Manhattan.. The pass we got have us an uptown tour through Harlem etc, a downtown tour past all the tourist attractions, wall street etc, a night tour that went through downtown and over to Brooklyn ... read more

Hey hey, so it's been a while and I already tried to load this up but I lost it... Anyway so this is my update for London town... Both mum and I have been to London before, so had ticked off majority of the touristy stuff on previous visits... We headed to westminster abbey first off as the last time I was here it was just after da vinci code was released so the queues were out the gate and around the corner... This time we walked straight in... It is a pretty impressive church, even after the millions we had already seen! We walked all around it with the audio tour, including out to the college gardens which are mostly closed... But we couldn't take pictures inside, sorry... We did a quick pitt stop by ... read more

Yesterday we went to the infamous university town of Oxford, and I fell in love with it! The buildings and grounds are amazing, and I quite enjoyed seeing how much Sydney uni is a mini Oxford hehehe... There are a few words for the wary though with tours and stuff... The information stand are just for profit and will only put you on and give you info on their own tour, which is a bit toffy but interesting... The ones that wear coloured caps looked to have a bit more fun and are smaller groups so would be a bit better... From Oxford we headed down to Henley on thames where the regattas are held. It is such a gorgeous river side town, truly beautiful and peaceful and a fantatuc finish to the Oxford trip. Had ... read more
