Hello again! So I've been here a week now, and slowly finding my way around. It rained for the first time today despite it being forecast since Friday, so that's pretty good going really! With having weekends off, I decided to go on a little explore yesterday. I found Maidstone Millenium River Park which runs for 10km up the river Medway (which runs through Maidstone). There are lots of churches around that area, and there are quite a lot of interesting things around the town centre too. I took a few photos. I tried to upload them to Facebook but only managed to get 5 up. so I'll try to put a few nice ones up here. I must have walked about 5 miles yesterday, and my legs are paying for it today! Welcome to the first of my Maidstone blogs! I know a lot of you enjoyed my blogs from France and Italy, so to give myself something to do, and to keep in touch with you all, I’ve decided to start again. I’ve decided just to publish my blog in the same place as before, so that if any of you want to reread any of the France and Italy craziness, you can! So, yesterday, after around 6 or 7 hours driving, I arrived in Maidstone. It was a pretty good drive actually. For those of you who I havent yet sent a text to, I wanted to let you all know that tomorrow, saturday 14th april, i will be coming home for good. On wednesday, i was walking home at about 7.30pm when it was still light and a man indecently exposed himself to me. Luckily my adrenalin kicked in and i ran away as fast as i could because all that was going thru my mind was that he might rape me. I got away safe, just very shaken. Yesterday I went to the international office at the uni here who told me to go to the police, so i did. i then got in touch with hull and i have been allowed to come home. Hey there! I'm trying to be a bit more regular with my blogs than I have been over the past 2 weeks. I know that there are a few of you who enjoy reading the blogs. As usual, I don't have much to say, but on Wednesday I had a free day and decided to go and visit Lake Como. Lake Como is the 3rd biggest lake in Italy and is in the shape of an upside down Y apparently! I went to Lecco which is at the south of the lake. Hey you lot. I'm so sorry that I havent done a blog in about two weeks! My brother just went home yesterday and Lee was here the week before, so Ive not had a great deal of time to get a blog done...sorry! Had a great week with Lee, but not so great with Adam cos he just drives me up the wall with his sarcasm, laziness and the fact that he's so argumentative! I almost punched him in the airport yesterday cos he's annoyed me so much, cos he was only thinking of himself as he had a hangover. I'm so sorry ive been in a really shitty mood lately. My blogs have been mundanely boring! This one probably will be too but im not in a shitty mood, theres the difference! So, last night saw the arrival of my new room mate. She is from Poland, and is called Justyna. Her english is excellent so we can have a good chat! She's lovely. I wanted to hate her, but I can't! She's a genuinely nice person! As it happens, she's not a student, but she was here to work as an au pair for an italian family who wanted someone to teach their son english. I would like to apologise for my horrible blog yesterday. I'd just had enough and was fed up, well I still am but I wanted to say sorry anyway. Lee had his bike stolen from Hull yesterday so that wasn't great for him. He had to go buy a new bike. Today, I hurt from the waist down. I was almost late to my class this morning cos I took the bus and because it was so full, I couldn't get on! The lesson was really interesting tho, it was linguistics and I like that. Can this day possibly get any worse? I've just found out that there's another girl coming to stay 2moro, so that means Lee and my brother both have to sleep on the sofa. I'm so pissed off. You may remember this blog from a long long time ago when I was in the horrible city of Lyon, and in it, I wrote about how an orange man should be introduced to crossings in France. I'm glad to see that someone in Italy has obviously been reading my blog because in Italy, the Orange Man is real!!! Yay! I have a feeling that my blog is going to be a little shorter than the last as I don't have all that much to say really, but I do like to keep you informed on what little does happen in life here in Bergamo. I'm pleased that while I've been here, there has only been one day of rain, which is fantastic considering i'm on day 12! It was a little dull, but quite warm yesterday, while today it is sunny but a little cooler. Yesterday, I decided, after cleaning the bathroom, that I would go for a wander round this historic town looking for a few photo opportunities, and I'm hoping that I can upload some pics despite being on a university computer.
