Alright, so it's been a week or so since I last updated, and I need to finish my Semana Santa excursions. I have had a couple of tests and homeworks that have been taking up my time, because remember, I have classes here too, it's not just play. Now this entry is about my 4th day of my break, 2nd day in the state of Guanajuato. So we started Thursday off early. We got ready and started to head out for the day when we were stopped by some stomach pains in my partner. So as she rested, I went out and enjoyed the morning air. At ten thirty we met up with our tour group to go along the Route of Independence. This tour included a trip to a cemetery of a famous singer, trip ... read more

So finally I get to tell you about my favorite half of my Semana Santa trip. Get ready for excitement, thrills, and long winded descriptions, that tends to be how i write when describing something exciting. So once again grab a snack or meal, favorite 2L drink, popcorn, maybe a movie or two if you get bored of reading. This Adventure starts on Wednesday, April 8, day 3 of our week trip. From Guadalajara we traveled back to the bus station early in the morning so that we could catch our 7:30 am bus to Guanajuato. We get there and load the bus and start our second super comfortable ride to Guanajuato. Three hours later we arrive in Guanajuato, or what we that would be Guanajuato. As we got off the bus we looked around we ... read more

First thing's first, Happy Easter Everyone!!! P.S. you may want to grab a snack, maybe a coffee, orange juice, I know I would. This entry is gonna be long and even split into two entries. Ahh, finally Vacation week, Semana Santa. Well to start of this blog lets go to the planning steps of this trip. So as I had started planning this trip it was originally supposed to be in Chiapas with Steve, Amy, and whoever else wanted to come. But that got changed because Amy couldn't go due to the danger in the area of southeastern Chiapas. So we changed it to a Tabasco journey. In Tabasco we were going to go to some caves, travel a little of the ocean, and visit one of the Guimond family members, a sister in law to ... read more

Alright so as stated before it's been a while since updating last, and this is part two of this update frenzy. I congratulate you for making it this far, but there's still more to come. Now I haven't been traveling too much up to this point but I have done a bit of journeying around Monterrey and Hanging out with friends, Mexican and Exchange, and of course studying. That's why I came here in the first place right? Wrong I came here for a different cultural experience, it just so happens that in order for me to do that and to finance it and make it worth the school's, and my parent's, time money I have to study and take classes. But it's not too bad. Let's take a look at what I do in Monterrey ... read more

Alright well i haven't updated in quite a while so I've got a lot to catch up on. I'll be doing about 3 or possibly 4 posts, and later a picture gallery because my camera's being stupid. So go on grab a snack and drink because this may get a little ugly. Also, women and children may need to leave the room due to intense typing. Just kidding but seriously i'm just stalling because this is going to be long, I might have to take a nap a third of the way, two thirds, and at the end. Alright enough Lolly Gaggin around time for business. So, let's start with my travel during the American Spring Break! I'll start a couple days before my trip. The friday before the American Spring Break my sister came down ... read more

Well i haven't updated in a while so here i go! So since last i've spent most of my time in Monterrey chillin, going to class and just living life. I climbed Cerro de la Silla, the symbol of Monterrey. It took the people i climbed with, and myself, a good 5.5 hours to climb up and back down again. We spent a total of about 8 hours on the mountain, counting our midway break, and our break at the very top. After Cerro school was back, and I got some tests back, the first one i got back was in fluids and it was a 76, which is just above failing here. The second, and last test i got back was in my thermodynamics class, I got a grand total of 50% on it. That's ... read more

Alright so last weekend i went to Mexico City, Teotihuacán, and Xochimilco. We left at 10pm to go to Mexico City.....well we were supposed to leave then but we didn't actually leave until around 11. So it was a 12-13 hour bus drive to mexico city with tons of buildings, streets, and people. Arrived at the hotel around 12 and left for the center of Mexico City at 1. El Centro/La Ciudad De México - In the center there was the Cathedral, lots of vendors, and the Governmental palace i believe it's called. We first went to the governmental palace where they had the presidents' office i believe, and murals from Diego Rivera. When we finished with the government place we got back on the bus bet were missing 2 girls. So we waited and waited ... read more

Alright everybody this is going to be my first real blog where i'll tell everything. Until now i kinda just said a few things hear and there. So, now is the full tour so far. Monterrey, Mexico, the climate: Monterrey's climate is almost perfect. During the day the temperature had gotten into the mid to high eighties with just a little bit of cloud cover. This type of weather is phenomenal, However the students on campus still wear jackets and what not. But, there's the downside of this almost perfect weather. The yesterday the high was 64°F and the low got down to 46°F. I realize that for those of you back home you still don't sympathize with me because i believe you still have snow, according to weather.com you guys had a High of 45°F ... read more
