| 3rd September 2007 pummel | Response to Unfair representation - From: Finding Neverland At the time of writing the blog everything written above was accurate. I did get a full refund eventually from Peterpans, but only after a LOT of hassle - phone calls, emails etc, and I still believe the policy is unfair and misleading. I only got my refund because of a mistake made by the person selling the package which they honourably admitted to. |
| 10th May 2007 Peterpans Travel | Unfair representation - From: Finding Neverland You received a FULL refund from Peterpans Travel on 17/4/06 after this tour was cancelled due to cyclone warnings, pls remove this comment from your blog |

| 19th July 2006 Khay | - From: Children, Caves and the Rains Oy!! As hard as they try, they aren't cool enough to be Vietnamese. Changing the spelling but not the pronounciation is a a half-assed attempt to copy us. I'm sure it's a nice country but they've failed. |

| 21st June 2006 Shawna | Tasty Snakes - From: Fish Food And Fried Snake: Why I Don't Like Tours To me, snakes just taste like Dog (or chicken), I can't taste the difference. Knowing what you are eating, albeit after the fact, is a thrill. |

| 19th June 2006 pummel | - From: Riding Through The Minefields In Barbies Pink Party Bus Durex, Thanks for reading the post and taking the time to comment on it. While driving along the main road from the border to Siem Riep we passed 3 teams clearing mines, all of which had found at least 1(marked with a red sign and surrounded with red tape on bamboo staffs). As for your comment about houses being built on Land Mines in 2004 46% of villages were still classified as unsafe. Not sure about the latest stats on this. Also look at the number of amputees around, and you will realise that while the title may exaggerate my specific experience (although 3/4 mines in a day is enough for me!) that it does not exaggerate the general experience of the Cambodian people. And yes Cambodia is a great place- I loved it! Alex |
| 16th June 2006 tony kong | getting away with genocide - From: Another Sad Day Its good that you're acknowledging these atrocities, because the international community has forgotten, no one's been punished for these crimes against humanity. If they're making a huge effort to put Karadzic & Miladic on trial they should do same with Sampan!! |
| 16th June 2006 Durex | - From: Riding Through The Minefields In Barbies Pink Party Bus I think your post is so exagerating...driving thru landmines? then the people there must have mines planted under their houses? pls........Cambodia is great place and mines areeeee mostly along the border. |
| 16th June 2006 Suze | - From: Another Sad Day wow - you miss so much when you dont read a blog for a couple of weeks. Sounds like you're having a blast. Be good. How much longer do you have? xxx |
| 12th June 2006 Dave | culture - From: Tuk Tuks & Ladyboys Not having very much myself, I probably never would have left Bangkok and would have by now been in much demand from American tourists! |
| 12th June 2006 Dave | 2 B rown Traites - From: Round The Island Alex, was glad to see 1. sleeping off hangover and 2. despite your unusual hieght for a Brown, the genes have given you no more favour than the rest of us in the other direction(legs that is). Looks smashing! |
| 9th June 2006 Duncan | Its hot here too! - From: 35 degrees. Hot as hell Its hot in the UK too! but not quite 35 degrees! Makes me sweat just looking at the pictures of the temples in the sun. After seeing all the temples around Angkor Wat, we didn't want to see another ever again! |
| 8th June 2006 pummel | Its lovely - From: Riding Through The Minefields In Barbies Pink Party Bus I think Cambodia is great, everyone should go there. The whole landmine stuff is sobering rather than scary - I'm not about to go wandering off into the paddys. Sadly its an issue for the locals and not for tourists. And the guns... everywhere has its gun problems. A New York city drug dealer has a longer life expectancy on death row than on the streets. Tis true. Having said that I did find the guidebook comment mildly amusing/scary! Enjoy Florida! |
| 8th June 2006 Shawna | - From: Riding Through The Minefields In Barbies Pink Party Bus OK - All I'm saying is that this post was SCARY - and I don't mean scary in terms of bad grammar and misspellings. You're supposed to make us want to go to Cambodia! |
| 7th June 2006 A&BGoldsmith | Hello Alex - From: Daun Pisang and Malaydyboys Would that be James Beevors of Westcliff High School? Enjoying the Blog. Been out with Mum, Dad and Willow today - good walk and pub lunch Crown Laindon. |
| 1st June 2006 suze | - From: Back To School haha - your penang->koh tao journey was nothing - i was left for 3 hours at the malaysian border at 11.30pm. enjoy koh tao and have fun diving (eat a roast chicken dinner at the irish bar - it's AMAZING after months of asian food) take care hun and be good around those lovely ladymen!! xxx |
| 1st June 2006 Duncan | Those cheeky thais.... - From: Back To School Nice to see you are still enjoying yourself! Probably too late, but I did the enriched air course at Buddha View Dive school. It was really good! We liked Koh Tao a lot, but then we did learn to dive there. Where are you on the island? Im sure you found this elsewhere, but in thailand (+ Laos + Cambodia) any travel means a long stop somewhere, where you are encouraged to buy lunch/dinner/breakfast (no matter what the time - 4am 'dinner' stops are not uncommon!) at a certain cafe/shack with benches + cockroaches. They practically force you into having some food, and get shirty if you don't. It gets really frustrating and we resorted to just buying something and taking it with us. All good fun though!! |
| 31st May 2006 James | Lesson learnt there aye! - From: Daun Pisang and Malaydyboys Why hello there, young Mr B! Sounds like your having a Bloody good time......you barsted.....You dont seem to mention though, how it was you were so sure they were men! Not trying to be uncouth, just a concerned friend is all! =) Keep having fun! Keep that number rising! See you soon, james! |
| 25th May 2006 Sylvia | Sinking feeling - From: Island Paradises and Violent Squids The diving sounds fantastic. I hope that you are not eating to much and that you don't remain on the bottom with all the extra weight. p.s. remember to wiggle your toes |
| 18th May 2006 Shawna | Bad Grammar and Spelling - From: Erotic Art, Bad Grammar and Underage Brides Hey mister man!!! I'm not knocking your bad grammar and spelling (even though it is at times erratic) I was merely commenting that I liked Nige's comments about your bad grammar, found them amusing. Be nice or I'll hold your Roger Waters ticket hostage! |
| 18th May 2006 Johnny Bravo | Bar Beach - From: Surfing With The Alien I'm a Newie local - the beach is called Bar Beach - enjoyed your entry, glad you liked our city! Now there's even whales swimming along the beach. |
| 14th May 2006 Jere | screw em' drivers - From: Motorbikes, Markets And Meat On A Stick the transport drivers in that part of asia are well versed in the art of 'butchering' tourists... the same thing happened to me while i was in bangkok, drove me to a dark alley, gathering his fellow-driver mates around, threatening me to pay him more than he deserved..while i refused profusely, and ran away to the main street and stood near a police car who is fortunately in sight.. but usually they don't dare to do anything more than a few swear words... streetsmartness n a pair of good running legs is essential have lots of fun mate! -Jeremiah. (melb) |
| 9th May 2006 Nige | - From: 3 weeks older, wiser and hairier. I’m not sure what disgusts me more, how bad your day was or how bad your grammar has become. Are the colloquialisms of our Australian cousins rubbing off on you? |
