Amsterdam

Amsterdam. So after yet another long train ride Julian Tim and I arrived at the main train station in downtown Amsterdam. This city is unlike anything I have ever seen. When we walked out of the train station I immediately saw a ramp with at least 5000 bicycles parked and locked up. Everyone in Amsterdam bikes to where they need to get. Its actually really annoying because they have their

Bremen. We got to Bremen after a long train ride from Koln. I got off the train and immediately saw Julian walking down the station holding three beers in the air. Welcome to Bremen. It was about a 20 minute walk from the station to his apartment and it was really hot. We were pouring sweat when we got to his apartment. We sat down for a little bit and just talked about our trip so far and caugh

Cologne. We arrived at Cologne at the main train station in downtown. The train ride in was absolutely beautiful. Most of it was right along the banks of the Rhine River there were castles across the river built into the steep hillside and where there werent castles there were vineyards going straight up the hill. When we got off the train and out of the station I walked out of the door and

Early to rise Tim and I went to say our goodbyes to his grandfather and Aunt Barbara. We talked with them for a little bit and then made our way to the Lorrach Train station. Leaving Lorrach was almost painful I felt like I was at home there. We didnt really know what to expect in Frankfurt and I knew at Lorrach there was always someone we would know that was down to get down with the get d

Black Forrest

Today Tim Barbara and I went to a town called Titisee. It is in the heart of the black forrest so it was about an hour drive to get there. We drove through some of the most beautiful countryside that I have ever seen. Trees so dense and compacted that you could hardly see into the woods from the road. They call it the black forrest because the evergreen trees are so close together that sunli

Nights 1 2 and 3.

The first night we dove into German culture head first. Tim and I got picked up by his cousin Valerie and husband Toby who live about 10 minutes away from our hotel in Lorrach. They took us to their favorite spot to get dinner and have a few drinks. A few turned into a few to many. Toby went into the bar as we sat down outside on the patio. He came back out with a smile on his face so I knew so

So after the hotel we went to Germany which conveniently enough is 5 minutes away. Tim39s Uncle Andy and Aunt Sylvia had planned to cook out for Tim me and the gang. Andy and Sylvia are the parents of Valerie and Nadine. Valerie is married to Toby and Nadine is with Michael. pronounced meshell Tim and I kicked it with them on night 1 more about that later.
Day 2

I am literally not a good enough writer to describe what we did today but I will give it a go... We woke up this morning at 900 AM yikes that39s 3 AM to you westerners. Tim39s aunt Barbara picked us up from the hotel and we made our way to Basel Switzerland. The way this city is set up is indescribable. Basically its built directly on the Rhine River. The buildings shoot directly up out

Day 1

Day 1 started with Timmy singing in my ear at 7 AM which consequently made me want to punch him in the stomach and cough blood up. I fought off the urge however and made my way down to breakfast. Our first flight left Nashville headed towards Cincinnati at 1030. We then had a 4 hour layover in Cincy. So naturally Tim and I took advantage of this time by hitting up the airport bar. We departe
