I don't want to go home....

Our last day The sentiment today was that none of us wanted to go home. Chris made us a lovely breakfast and we packed our things and got ourselves on the road to the airport. This trip has been wonderful. I was lucky to share this experience with my cousin Amy and my mom. We traveled around approximately of the country and when we returned the car we had driven 1272 miles in two weeks.
Breakfast started at 830 this morning and we were in the dining room shortly after that. We enjoyed our breakfast and quickly made our plans for the day. Our first stop would be a sheep dog herding demonstration on the Ring of Kerry. The Ring of Kerry is a very scenic drive that takes most of a day but we decided to only go about around the ring to make it to the demonstration as we saw the

Today we overslept We scheduled our breakfast for 8am and we woke at 810. We hurried ourselves down to breakfast and it was almost 10am before we left the BB. We were sad to see that is was raining but we couldnrsquot complain since this would only be the second day of rain which is pretty good for Ireland. We headed for downtown Kinsale to see some more sights that we have missed the prev

Today we slept in a little before we joined the group for breakfast. It was very fun to wait for Natalie in the dining room as she is very sunny in the morning. We had our breakfast as Natalie hugged the cat figurine in the dining room. After breakfast we packed the car and then made our plans for the day. We decided to walk down as a group to see the baby lambs that Celia our BB owner had ado

On Sunday we got ourselves moving early in order to make it to 9am mass. We met Tommie and Bernie at mass and in true Irish style the mass was over very quickly. Tommie then proceeded to give us the town tourhellip. This included a stop at the Flynn OrsquoDea Family graves a walk down main street where the Flynn Family Butcher shop was and over to the park. Tommie is a great tour guide and

We woke a little later than normal today since we had a late night out in the Dublin pubs. We stayed at the Glenkeen house in Inchicore just outside Dublin. This was a very lovely BB which is owned by a relative of someone we know from Syracuse. Glenkeen house is undergoing some kitchen renovations so we stopped for breakfast at the Red Cow Inn. Our breakfast was lovely and just what the docto

After a night filled with the sounds of street noise and drunks we got ourselves up and ready. At this point I think we need to address a common issue that we have seen in Ireland. Leprechaun showers Most of the BBrsquos that we have stayed in have had these types of showers. A leprechaun shower in very small and typically does not allow you to turn around or bend once inside. This takes a l

We all slept well at the Drummnd hotel and woke to the sound of owls outside our window. We put ourselves together and got our breakfast. Eileen tried fried soda bread and decided to stick with the regular toast from now on. We packed the car and headed back into to Derry. With the excellent directions from the hotel front desk attendant we ended up finding the walking tour meeting place early. W

We started off the morning with a breakfast and a gorgeous view out of the front window of the Stonecroft BB. The breakfast was not as good as we have had in the past few days but it was a start. I am not sure but I think the breakfast didnrsquot taste as well because my stomach was upset from sleeping the entire night while inhaling the smell of old pee. I believe that the person who had the

After our late night pub crawl it was hard to get out of bed today. We finally made it thru the shower and down for breakfast. Siobhan did not disappoint this morning and our breakfast was delicious. We gathered our things and Eammon checked us out of Taur Beg. Eammon was a great Irish character and I think he wanted us to stay and chat with him for awhile. We got ourselves together and on the ro

This morning Siobhan made us a wonderful breakfast. Taur Beg is the largest BB we have stayed in to date. She gave us a menu so we could choose our breakfast for a change. Since I was looking for such a change I had French toast for breakfasthellip.it was delicious After packing our day trip bags we set out for Rossaveel.
We asked fr our breakfast early this morning but we still ended up late for mass. My mother arranged a special mass in memory of my grandmother and all the deceased members of the Brennan Family. My grandmother passed away 5 years ago. She died only 4 days after we returned from our last visit to Ireland. My mother spent several hours with her the day after we returned telling her about Cross and

Today Teresa O'Gorman of the hilltop BB greeted us with a large pot of tea and a huge Irish Breakfast. I am not used to eating that much in the morning but it was a wonderful treat. We tried to use our international cell phone to call our friend Michael O'Dea but we couldn't get through. Michael's sister Collette lives in Syracuse and Michael has been to visit us in Syracuse and we promised we

This morning we started with a full Irish breakfast. Our BB owner was a wonderful cook and we all enjoyed leaving with full stomachs. After packing our bags we loaded the car and set out for Dingle. Dingle is a good size town in County Kerry. Upon arrival we stopped in the Tourist Information office TI and got a map and then used the Rick Steeves Book to give ourselves a walking tour of Dingle

We started our Journey today around 12pm. Since I was able to book our tickets with frequent flyer miles my mom and I traveled to rochester for our flight. The trip was an easy drive and the time passed quickly. After the security checkpoint we relaxed and waited for our flight. The flight from Rochester to Philly was pretty easy... it was a prop plane and luckily we were in the first row...beca

We woke up to the sound of airplanes overhead. Our hotel room was very nice and it seemed quite new. The location was interesting as it was right next to a large Boeing Plant with an adjoining air field. We started the morning a little slower than we expected but made our way to the Pike Place Market in downtown Seattle fairly early. We enjoyed the market. Eileen headed for the Buchart Gardens and we planned to pick her up late. Amy and I headed to the Blue Fox Cafe for breakfast it was delicious. After that we decided to go to the Pacific Undersea Garden in the Victoria Harbour. The Garden was cool. We saw tons of cool fish. Then we saw a diver

The alarm clock rang at 530am and we were in line for the ferry by 700 am. We left the car and grabbed some to go breakfast. I stopped and talked to Bill at the tourism booth for some recommendations on what to see in Victoria. The ferry took about 90 minutes and we drove rig
