Welcome to my travel blog. I am one of those people who can travel for their work some time and I'm happy about it! Although traveling for work means: working long days, sleeping short hours and not much to see besides the hotel and the office ther are occasions in which I can do some sight seeing. Exactly that is what I'd like to share on this website with you.

Although I'm not a good writer and my pictures could be better as well, still this is a great way of keeping in touch with the ones I know and to share my experiences with them. Please be aware that in this blog I will give you my opinion; no facts and no absolute truth. Don't read these pages if you are not open minded and especially when you can't accept a different political point of view. If you like discussions, new ideas or me then I'd recommend that you bookmark this blog.

As you can see there are many sayings about traveling but somehow I have many more questions. Just some questions that I still haven't answered:

Why do I always want to move somewhere else after I've arrived somewhere?
Why are there more places I'd like to visit after I've returned from some place then before?
Why do I suck at languages while I would realy like to speak them all?
Why are things abroad always more interesting then close by; just because it's fashion?
Why do I avoid all commitments for a social life and use traveling as an excuse?

Petra - the Red City Visiting Petra was a remarkable event. It all started with a picture that I've seen a long time ago. It was a picture of an old man, dressed in some rags, walking in the Siq. I was so impressed by this picture that I promised myself that one day, I would see that place, except I did not know where it was.
