It's absolutely necessary to spend at least a couple of days in Prague. We stayed in Zhizhkov and walked around the town by foot all the time using the tram only once. Also we of couse went to my favorite place on earth Kutna Hora which is definitely worth a visit of a couple of days too to see the sights and feel the atmosph http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Czech-Republic/Prague/blog-448118.html Beautiful Sardinia After a few hours a sleep after Slovenia I cought the plane to Alghero and right there I got picked up by my friends and we went straight to the harbor jumped on the boat and went to snorkel in the most amazing waters I have ever seen. The next days I spent swimming for 10 hours eating and meeting friends and their families. In fact my dear friend introduced me to her family which couldn't talk a http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Sardinia/Alghero/blog-430521.html Ljubljana After 30 min of sleep in Annaberg at 500 we headed to Slovenia. I was pretty tired and sleepy and after 300 km there was a drivers change and then I could slumber a bit. When we arrived in Slovenia I was really really sleepy because it was extremely hot. We arrived on the festival ground and I spent the whole day at the festival hanging around and drinking slovenian beer. In the evening I went t http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Slovenia/Upper-Carniola/Ljubljana/blog-430444.html Mother Russia VolgagradSmolenskSaratovMoscow 2 weeks Russia by carAfter the landing in Moscow the next goal was Smolensk which turned out to be a dusty old city the gates to Russia. Smolensk is a hero cityGorod Geroj because whenever someone attacks Russia wanting to conquer it Smolensk is the first destination.Afterwards we headed to Volgagrad from Moscow 13 hours by car. On the highway the max. speed is 90 but of course everyone http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Russia/South/Volgograd/blog-424642.html Tuscany roundtrip ElbaFlorencePisa The roundtrip started from our camping village in Valdarno near Florence which was shitty btw.Anyhow first we went to Piombine to take a ferry to Elba. No special sights so far Elba itself was ok but nowhere NEAR Sardinia. In fact there were boats from the port to Elba and Sardinia and I was playing with the thought to sneak on the other boat D No not really Mr FruitLater on we went to F http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Tuscany/Florence/blog-397464.html Living in Rome After living like a Roman for only 7 days I already have a feelings to know how the every day life looks. Since I always stayed with friends or couchsurfing and no hotel I got to live with real Romans go out with them eat with them eat what they eat and so on. In this period of time Life in Rome meant driving very drunk at night drinking Peroni cooking delicious food and eating many times a http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Lazio/Rome/blog-390074.html Sardinia The island has the most beautiful sea ever and the nature changes every 50 km. Sardinia has a very interesting history since many nations walked through and left their culture on the island. The people we faced are very openminded and friendly. Hitchhiking was no problem since it's hard to get anywhere without a car. The buses go very seldom and only to a limited number of places every few hou http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Italy/Sardinia/blog-390028.html Castle Neuschwanstein Munich On the train from Munich to castle Neuschwanstein we were sitting near singinghappy students from India who kept our journey musically escorted. After arrival in Fssen we took the bus to Schwangau and from there we walked up to the castle. It's about half an hour to walk and it was snowing but still go hot after all the walking. From the top you could get an incredible view over the surroundings http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/Bavaria/Munich/blog-377497.html MalmoCopenhagen by night One evening sitting in the 23d floor of the restaurant Gothia Towers in Gothenborg in a spontaneous decision we decided to go to Copenhagen. Not even 12 hours later we were sitting in the bus to Copenhagen. We arrived there in the evening and darkness already and walked through the whole city to find the little mermaid. Without any map and no idea where it is we walked down the main road and as http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Denmark/Region-Hovedstaden/Copenhagen/blog-366614.html Gothenburg After my arrival in Gothenburg I went to the NYE 20089 party straight away and spent the next days wandering around the parks and the city. The city is rather modern and not really special but the nature is wonderful indeed. All these smooth monoliths in the parks and around the islands.Perhaps it is better to go to Sweden in the summer but in the winter I found the nature even more appealing.Onc http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Sweden/Vastra-Gotaland/Gothenburg/blog-365795.html Autumn in Latvia Journey's End.Germany Prague CZ Kutna Hora CZ Auschwitz POL Krakow POL Warszawa POL Kaunas LT Trakai LT Vilnius LT SiaulaiLT Riga LV http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Latvia/Riga-Region/Riga/blog-340600.html Siaulai After Vilnius we were heading towards Siaulai at 2 oclock in the night. The plan was to take just some highway hotel like we did in Poland without problems but we didn't see even one along the highway. So we drove into Panev279ys searching for a place but all the hotels asked for too high prices. So we went on driving to Siaulai.I already got friends with the thought of sleeping in the car at http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Lithuania/Siauliai/blog-336060.html KaunasTrakaiVilnius UNDER CONSTRUCTIONfor some reason all pics got deleted. gonna upload soonAfter a really foggy night in Augustw we went on to Lithuania. Very good sunny weather autumnal colours everywhere. First stop Kaunas a beautiful city especially in autumn. Everything is red and yellow an old city with charm. In Kaunas we went to the museum of devils. A rather humorous place worth visiting. Afterwards we http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Lithuania/Kaunas/blog-335915.html Krakow Warszawa After Auschwitz we arrived in Krakow by night. After having some food in a restaurant that was supposed to be Georgian but it wasn't really we walked around Krakow and got a hotel on the highway between Krakow and Warszawa. It was cheap and it had a cool bar with lots of polish beer. Next day we went to Warszawa by car.. Huge traffic reminds me a lot of Moscow just without the special charm o http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Masovia/Warsaw/blog-335896.html Auschwitz Owicim When you get to Auschwitz head to the museum. Birkenau is 2 km later in the west. The city around the museum and Birkenau show no signs of the past at all supermarkets advertisements of cosmetics models and so on.But you can't erase the past..Trip Germany Prague CZ Kutna Hora CZ Auschwitz POL Krakw POL Warszawa POL Kaunas LT Trakai LT Vilnius LT Siaulai LT http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Poland/Lesser-Poland/Auschwitz/blog-335872.html Kutna Hora After a nice waiter in Prague has booked us a hotel in Kutna Hora we got on our way. After 1 hour drive through the night and bad roads that had turns every 100m we arrived at our hotel that was right in front of the cathedral. We had to wait a bit and while we were waiting we noticed bats flying in the lights of the cathedral not hiding from the light but actually flying right into it and tryi http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Czech-Republic/Central-Bohemian-Region/Kutna-Hora/blog-335844.html Prague We arrived in Prague at sunset and I saw something I've never seen before. In the streetlights there were humongous amounts of bats flying so low they could crash into a walkers head. At first I thought those were really weird birds but in the lights I saw the ears. On Karluv most there are many small selfmade jewellery stores and artists. You see old women touching the sculptures and praying http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Czech-Republic/Prague/blog-335820.html Assiah shall fall Fallen city lies in ruinsLeft behind to perish aloneNobody remembers these housesBut the houses remember them all. http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Latvia/Riga-Region/Riga/blog-314694.html Berlin Had the time of my life during my stay in Berlin. And also my first food poisoning which I endured by sleeping around 32 hours or more. The first day I went directly to Berlin was the day when Barack Obama was supposed to hold his speech at the Siegessule so with a few friends I got lost under other thousands of people and witnessed his speech which I found rather unimaginative and less charis http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/District-of-Berlin/Berlin/blog-306876.html Leipzig Since it has rained during nearly every day I've spent in Leipzig it got burned into my memory as a grey city. It looks very eastern German but with a certain charm. Cheaper than western Germany of course but what a shame all trams stop working at 0000.. And it happened once that I had to walk back for 6 km in the pouring rain and made my friend go swimming at 10C in some fountain out of pure http://www.travelblog.org/Europe/Germany/Saxony/Leipzig/blog-306504.html
