Recreation required. I start early toward Rushcutters Bay, the location of the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia. This takes me through Darlinghurst. Had a tremendous response. Ended up in the park at Rushcutters Bay. More interest. I walked the docks briefly and got a ride on a racer. We go out. The race starts. We head for the back of the fleet. The frenzy couldn't continue so today returned to "normal". I did get an email from a friend in WA saying we got an article in the "West Australian". I started this morning at channel 7 again. they didn't come out for an "on air" shot but. So it seemed a quiet morning. I resolved to walk to Glebe only because I had met a couple from Glebe who owned a bookstore when I was in Ulladulla two years ago. It was a pleasant walk. Glebe was cool änd stickers were popular. Here we go. Someone had said that the Channel Seven morning show team came out to meet the public on air so it seemed a good idea on Australia Day. Got there about 8am and held flag and sticker in full view. It was on the monitor so I expect it went nationwide!!! Time will tell. If you stand in the streets long enough someone will let you know. Start at the beginning. Got up and did normal stuff. Left the hotel for a day on the hustings. Stickers going out at a good clip in spite of a light rain (almost mist). Whoever they were from Brisbane radio - I forgot to ask their call letters - we did the interview this morning. It will be played on Australia Day. The only other news on a hard day at spruiking is that a guy who emailed me and said he wanted two flags called. It remains to be seen the result.It was supposed to be today but no call. Well its a big office old Sydney. I set out for the bridge and spent some time at the top of the span. Lovely view,need I say. All well till the guard came up and said I had to furl the flag. A fine Sunday. Walked down Pitt St to the ferry and bought $15 all day pass. Took the ferry to Manly. Spruiked at the beach. Oh what a lovely day. Found a Chinese food hall plate for $4 with drink included. How do they do it? Took fast fery back to Circular quay. Then slow cat to all the stops on the way to Parramatta, except Parramatta. Today I set out for Vaucluse by foot early Passed by the cafe scene in Darlinghurst and Kings Cross. Had a few takers (stickers) Then I boarded the bus to Vaucluse thinking there would be a morning breakfast crowd. wrong Bussed back to Rushcutters Bay and the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia Walked the docks and got a ride for the afternoon race Well not a lot stickers spread but alovely day on the water.
