We woke up to heavy rain and thought the day would be washed out. After a few hours the rain went away and the sun came out so we went to a farmers market and then went for a drive on the lookout for Amish. Paul had seen some on his drive the night before so we went down the same streets and saw signs that showed horse and buggy on then but did not see any. We found a shop that sold Amish candies and we got some as they had an address on then but we could not find there address on our sat nav we found places close to it but so tried around there. We looked on the sat nav the night before and it said 2h to falling water house but when we put it in today is said 2h of well we went any way and we decided to avoid tolls on the way there. We got there to find inside the house was closed on Wednesday so we could only do a grounds tour that was fine as we could walk around the house and look in the windows. As it was out last day in the hotel we had bfast in the hotel then checked out and got a taxi back to JFK airport to pick up our hire car. When we got there we decided to upgrade it to a convertible and then we drove to cook forest PA. There was lots of rain as we did not get much time with the top down and lots of road works so it took us about 3h longer to get there then the sat nav said.... read more

We got a 2 day hop on hop off buss pass and got the buss around down town and we got off at Battery Park as we had pre paid ferry tickets to Liberty and staton islands it was a good thing we had our tickets as the line up for tickets was 30 min. We got on the line for the ferry and it was 1 ½ hours so when we got to the islands we decided not to get back as there were 30 mim lines to get back and we got great photos of the statue of Liberty from the boat.
