Hi I'm Harold from the Philippines. Just here to document my travels to help me remember the good times when I'm old and plagued by dimentia. Yeah, I have lots of pictures of myself. I'm Asian. I cant help it. Its what we do.
I don't get enough vacation leaves to travel for extended periods of time hence I live vicariously through other bloggers who travel for months or even years at a time. I love reading about travels in exotic places like India, Central Asia, and the Middle East.
Then I heard him rolling down and Barbie screamed. "Oh my God! Renz!" I screamed back. There was a moments silence. I thought of how I can bring him back to town without a stretcher. What would his mother say to me? The one responsible for bringing her kids there. It was dark and we only had pen lights. Only three of us were hiking back to town. It was the dangerous part of the trek. The one where we had to climb big boulders one on top of the other. If you fall you're seriously injured, if not dead. Renz was pulling his sister up the rock. He wasn't sure footed so he got dragged down. Luckily his sister was holding his arm and managed to stop his fall. He seriously could have died. After

It was just a 45 minute trek but one of the most challenging and most fun treks I’ve ever done! The river was squeaky clean and we refilled our water bottles from one of the streams that contributes water to the big river. There were no impurities of any sort and I don’t feel my stomach grumbling until now! I loved the huge boulders in this river, and how clear the water on the

Supposedly to think and meditate on the things that I'm going to lose and how to start all over again, but I was too busy to do that! But somehow its all clear now. Now I know what to do. We were picked up by the driver that we prearranged in Manila. Our plane arrived shortly after noon so we proceeded straight to the tour. We only planned to see three sites on day 1. Loboc river, Chocolate Hills and Tarsiers. The tour usually includes the hanging bridge, the oldest church in Bohol, the biggest Python in Bohol and some kind of

Tagaytay is about an hour and a half from Manila. Those who can afford a vacation house would usually buy here because of the cool weather. At least the weather used to be cool, now not so much but its still cooler and a lot less polluted than Manila. The weather wasn't good when we got there. It rained most of the time so we just stayed at home. Cooking, eating, sleeping. The wind was howling it's as if there was a storm. It was foggy and at times we couldn't see the neighbors. T'was kinda like a scene from a scary movie. I imagine it would have been awesome to

Fetched by a tour bus every morning where everyone is Filipino and we follow a man with a flag and a portable PA system. We wear identical stickers and sometimes even matching caps. I never thought that was weird at all until I met Dutch backpacker Maaike while diving in Donsol. I've never travelled alone. I usually just follow the smart one in the group whenever I'm at the airport. I never had to pay travel tax on my own. Being the youngest child in the Philippines means everyone takes care of you. So there are a lot of things that I didnt know

Saw the coastline of China. Not much beach there, and the water looks cold. The line at the immigration was looooong. When we finally got out two Filipina girls approached us and offered to be our guides. We only had to pay 50 HKD each! Thats a steal! Macau tours cost 80USD per day. Theyre cleaning ladies in Macau and work as tour guides on their free time. The only catch is that we had to register at two casinos that gave free game credits and we had to give them the cards that had free credits. We didnt mind at all. It

The city tour was blah. I dont even remember much of it but the package tour said its mandatory. Thats because they take you to stores that theyre affiliated with. Like the souvenir shop that had expensive stuff. They also took us to a Jewelry store that the travel agency said sponsored the tour thats why its dirt cheap. We went to a harbour which was where one of the james bond movies was filmed.

Good thing the driver stopped at a gas station coz i really had to pee. Ate a whole watermelon as midnight snack. When we got to the port the boat was already full. We were late for about five minutes. We should never have stopped to buy water or we would have made it. It was 7am and the next boat leaves at 9am and it wasnt there yet. We had breakfast at a diner there. Very dodgy but there was no other place with seats. We bought a huge papaya. Sheli and I had rice and eggs. Sheli talked to a girl who was waiting

But that was the best thing those kids could come up with and im very proud of them for organizing the trip without much help from the adults. But yes, it was uncomfortable. Pico De Loro is two hour drive from Manila. And it takes two and a half hours to get to the top. I didnt have breakfast, i dont think anyone did. We also didnt get much sleep. Which is bad. I should have been the responsible adult to tell them to sleep early. But since i didnt get to sleep much and have breakfast my energy was running out after
