Well i}m into my second week of working on Rancho Michel. The ranch is run by katrina, who is 22 and has lived in the area for 15 years.  Various woofers work on the farm (of which i am one) for up to 2 mnths or so.  There is also a kiwi, chris,  who is working on the farm at the moment. My typical day starts by feeding all the animals (heaps of sheep, ducks, dogs, a horse, some rabbits), then doing a bit of cleaning up. a siesta in  the arvo then fix up some stuff (alot of things in mexico seem to fall apart) . a few spanish lessons in the evening.    Had to pull  a dead lamb out of a ewe last night which was interesting. Well i´m about to leave Guadalajara, having styed ghere for a week. A great city - plenty of authentic Mexicanism. All ways people at the hostel having a few beers. If not i´d go out and check out the scenery and wildlife. Went to a cool bar called jembe or something on Wed night which was pumpin. Went to Tequila, ate half a chicken, and saw a factory. Had a excellent night last night - artists workshops were opened up around the city - checked out s big veriety of shit... Off to farm today.... read more
