That sounds pretty awesome. I was so stoked to see you got pics of bears and the enchanted forest!!! You say you are coming in from Frankfurt in May? I should be around so look me up. Where are you planning to hit up and where are you coming from originally?
Greetings fellow travellor Well when you come through Alberta send me a message and maybe we can meet up and trade great stories about Norway and Canada!
Hi! Interesting to read about your experiences in Norway, i love Canada after visiting BC and Alberta in may 2008, so i am going back again in may this year, flying to Calgary this time to rent a car there and drive around in the Rockies. Canada is a great country to visit, friendly people and quite cheap for us. Greeting from Lillehammer Norway.
:) :) :) Glad you are having a nice relaxing time of it! Weather has warmed up to +4 with a lovely chinook!! More snow in the forecast but the deep freeze has ended for now. Say Hallo to everyone for us, and try not to grin !!! I love moose too. Do they have lots in Norway? I would have LOVED to have seen the Edvard Munch galleries! Wow! Maybe you will see it another time. Can hardly wait for you to come home for New Year's . Enjoy the Norse life until then!

I'm new at this Hi Nick,
Enjoyed reading your blog. Your Mom got me started on this the other day and I'm still learning about Facebook and travel blogs. Our latest travel blog is going to the lake on Thurs for Thanksgiving and close up. It's supposed to be -13 here by Friday. Hope it's better our in BC. Sounds like to had a long, hard trip but am sure it was worth it. Keep safe and have fun.

I agree, i absolutely loved Nelson. Wasnt as much of a picton fan, but it was a quant little town. And see, kayaking is amazing. I would take it up with you! Auntie Viv and Uncle Tony are big into it as well, and can probably give some tips about where to go. So glad to hear that everything is going well and that you have found a few people to break the driving silence.
Hope that the Magic Bus book i gave you is helping out, and that you have a smooth ferry crossing! Take care, and know that i am insanely jealous that your getting to go to the North island. Be safe and have fun!
GO SEE PENGUINS!!! Penguins are super cute and awesome - although they are quite smelly. Think its fairy penguins down there so it wont be the same as the ones I saw in Antarctica but you know they are still pretty cool. Oh god I used a pun accidentally! I hate puns.
Miss you! Keep having fun down under.
Well Nick it is 25.5 degrees right now at 8 pm and evrything is green and growing around here! I am sure you ran around here and edmonchuk in shorts at 5 degreeds too. You just like to amaze/amuse people.Pam is at Shuswap with kelly and Poomba loves loves loves it , of course! And he is a good swimmer/fetcher of sticks by the sounds of it. I have been clearing out some of the shed, clearing out your old room, and painting the main floor walls pretty turquoise and sky blue, with a scattering of clouds. Just you wait until you see it. You can remember that I was painting blue sky walls whilst you were whale watching. Whenever you look at the walls, you can think about NZ. Grandma and Grandad really enjoy your blogs, which I have taken in for their amusement, so they can armchair world travel. Grandad always wanted to see just what was around the next bend ..... So glad you love your rocks! and geology . Happy trails, from the land of blue skies, sunshune , the true North strong and free.
Just keep enjoying your trip and be as tardy as you can!! It is wonderful to be able to follow along with your adventures, but life is for living and exploring -you can write about it all after if you have time. Take care and have so much fun!! Love you! Mom

I am really happy you are safe and sound. Those fires are unreal. I feel so bad for the koalas and the rest of the wild life!! My friend in Brissy works as a Ranger so I can only imagine how crazy he'd be if he were in Melbourne.
How is school going??
