It seems only yesterday Hi Matt Oh what fun you have had in Orewa! the little coastal town I remember so well. You sure have had some first time experiences. I would love to have seen you driving the 4 x 4 truck but don't get any big ideas! As for the fishing Grandie would be very envious if he was here. When we were in Montreal Pops was offered an automatic Cadillac to drive to a golf course just a mere 200 miles away across the US border, Pops said it was a dream to drive, arm chair driving.
I am sure it was a nostalgic occasion to go back to Frank's lovely house,
my fondest NZ memories are when we were at that house enjoying the warm evenings down at the shore at the estuary or the main beach
Oh Happy times.
I think it will take you awhile to settle back into routine when you get back home.
I am now moving on to the next Blogg.
Take care
My fondest love

Fantastic Hi Matt, Just finished reading about your time in Orewa and how nice to have your friend with you to share and recall such wonderful time you are both having. You are obviously having an experience of a lifetime. Hope the rest of your trip goes well. Your Grandma joins me in sending you our love. Thanks also for the lovely pics.
We send you bundles of love.

What memories! Oh wow! As I read this I am there! The picture of you sitting and dangling your feet in the estuary took me right back to that place 11 years ago. So many happy hours spent on that lovely springy grass next to those amazing trees and then dangling our feet in the water. You didnt feel like grabbing a surf board and trying some more grass surfing there?! Sooo glad that you are making the most of this trip. Love you. Mum x
Who's a lucky boy then? Hi Matt, Absulutely stunning. Your pics are jst great and I am just green with envy! but I can see you are both haveing a fab time. Thank you for the card, the second one I mean-so good hearing from you. You would be surprised to hear that we are having fantastic weather here but we missed the big picnic at Guildford as we were otherwise occupied. You know all this popularity and everyone wanting to be with the best blokes- anyway yes we had a great Easter and hope you did too. Your grandma is down below sleeping on the couch, it's only 5.00 p.m. some people just don't appreciate the good weather. Well anyway keep on enjoying yourselves and keep out of harms way. We send you lots of love. Dadash and Grandma xxxxxxxx

Snow Well, I'm glad to hear that your adventure is going so well! It's making me want to take a big trip. Maybe I'll do one in the near future. But not now since I'm working and have an impression I need to fill! On the subject of snow sports, I've just bought my own snowboarding gear, and will be going to France in April with Adrian and some friends (good snow forgiving), so you'll always have someone to go! Bigger groups mean cheaper price and more fun! Have loads more fun, and be careful! x Lex*
It's amazing!!! Veira!!! I'm so sorry I haven't been in touch, I have had a look at your pics and they are amazing, very jealous. Can't believe you've seen more of the US than me and I'm a citizen!!!!
Best of luck for the rest of the trip.
Loads of hugs etc to you both!!!!

yikes oh gawd - I can't believe you ate at Pizzeria uno you poor thing.
and that hostel - it's the one and only hostel I ever stayed in - my first time was my last time after that experience.
after promising us a single-sex dorm, I woke up in only a light nightie with a naked guy in the bed across from me!!
Snoring in Boston I have enjoyed your details of the events on Boston!! particularly about the snorer in your bunk bed accommodation!!. it is a real pleasure to lose the " snoring" championship at last!!. It sounds to me as if train travel is the same the world over, so the next time i hear anyone criticize British Rail for their train service, i shall point them in the direction of your blog.
Hello :) Hello! Peeing in Harvard is defintily a claim to some degree of fame hehe! Sounds like you're having an awesome time matey - your pics are all amazing! Hope your skiing lesson went well and that you are enjoying NY - try and go ice skating in Central Park, was one of the best things i did there! Was great talking to you on msn the other day, hopefully speak again soon :) Xx
You've seen nothing yet. A little perhaps unecspected visit - got your blog via dad. Come on -20 we've had several times this winter our end of this wicked world. Wait til you come to the remote valleys where - 40 is everydays reality and people cant't go out. (East Minneapolis US is one example). And we haven't seen the results of the global warming yet have we? working toways at our climate - so enjoy!!! ;-) Mat I am thrilled with you and your adventure ahead - it is such a mind opener to travel places and make friends with other parts of the world - learning for life. Being a bit of an adict nomad myself I feel the call and the puls increases. Have a wonderful time out there and do collect personal stories and not only sights as you travel on but I'm sure you will.
Lots of love and encouragement - old Nik, Sigtuna - Sweden
Where's the bacon? well guys, you seem to be having a lot of adventures, but i was concerned by the fact that you could not cook your bacon!! which would have kept you nice and warm. perhaps you need to educate the Yanks on the need for the full English??.
PS: what happed to the bacon anyway?.
Helloooo Hey matt!I amv.v.v.jealous of your snow, we had slush here a few weeks ago- enough to make us realise how badly we miss the snow, but not enough for a snowball.so if you could send us some of yours, express delivery please so it doesnt get to warm here, then that would be fabulous!
churches look pretty cool, sounds kinda dead there though?Hope Boston is great! (and warmer) xx

NOOOOOO!!!! You are making me more and more jealous by the second I cant take it anymore. How long did it take to write that blog eh? No but hope you and Andy are ok and doing fine i'm pretty sure you are! Have you made a a snowman or had any snowball fight yet, I wish we could have a snowball fight but all we have is a real fight, lately somehow I have a lot more bruises than normal, mabye its because dan is making up for it, or Tim is punching me while I sleep, or you are just a better brother than I think you are! Who knows???? but all that untouched snow eh? mabye I should come over there and collect some of that snow over there, obviously after visiting you Andy first! everyone's missing you loads and can't wait for your next blog!!!! rsvp-(what a saying, it just slips off the tongue like a baby sliding down a blue slide covered with baby oil) Anyway keep safe bruv! and say hi to Andy for me!
Nick (Baby Boo)

The Canadians store their snow blowers as we do lawn mowers. The Brits must be looked upon as wimps with our 2cm of snow!
Looking forward to your next journal, whoever invented travelblogging should have a gold star, it keeps everyone in touch.
Take care Love NanaX
