We were somewhere around Barstow, on the edge of the desert, when the drugs began to take hold. I remember saying something like: I feel a bit lightheaded. Maybe you should drive. Suddenly, there was a terrible roar all around us, and the sky was full of what looked like huge bats, all swooping and screeching and diving around the car, and a voice was screaming: Holy Jesus. What are these goddamn animals?!

This was our favorite spot
I think this was our favorite spot despite the weather. It depends what they like to do, but a day cruise to the Great Barrier Reef is worth it. the city itself is worth a day and half. Plus there are other outlying areas for daytrips that we wished we would have planned for. Definitly worth it

Memories
I remember how the humidity was there......kinda a kick in the face. It was so hard to sleep there at night cause we had no air conditioning, just big ceiling fans in our rooms. Love the blogs....checking all the time!! Take care.....looks like you are having alot of fun! Della
