don't feel bad for the dunes
or for burning 5 gallons on your atc! i'd imagine the tracks are blown over by the next day. if you've been following the news back here, noone is buying or driving their overpowered suv's anymore because of gas prices.

Shark bait
See - this is EXACTLY what I was talking about when I said I don't like going into deep water.... Those fish have BIG teeth! Sounds more like a resort than a hiking place!

Mmmmm, squishy....
I'm glad you separated the condom story from the sea cucumber one. :-D Wikipedia's explanation of the the sea cucumber's squishiness, or lack thereof is as follows: '...is the peculiar reaction of the creature on being kneaded or disturbed slightly with fingers. It swells and stiffens and a jet of water is released from one end.' Far out....

Nice baobob
Hey Dr. Doolittle - good to see that the monkey-butt resulting from your gastro issues is not slowing you down any! Yeah, the previous blog entry overwhelmed me. This one is a bit more digest-able - no pun intended. ;-)

'It was very cold'
That is what they ALL say.... and why is that person smiling? Where is the sea cucumber? Hey Mike, I thought I should catch up after that barrage of email today - worse than my Vortex spam I tell you! However, unlike my spam, the blog posts have some substance. Cheers!

Things we like
Kat likes your hair. I like your new nickname. Madagascar looks great (except for the spiders... I don't like them. How big is that ugly yellow/black striped monster?). Send me a postcard!!! Puh-lease!

hawkers
I prefer to call them touts ... but whatever. Egypt has them but they give up after awhile. Morocco has some very tenacious (and tricky) touts, they'll follow you around for hours and they get angry if you give them the slip. India is by far the worst though imho, mostly b/c of the sheer volume.
