I arrived on Friday night 7 September, by bus from Hong Kong airport. Dan was waiting as promised at the Shangrila Hotel. We caught a taxi to her home. On Saturday, we had lunch with Dan's Aunt from Hong Kong, and Uncle from Shenzhen at an opulent French restaurant in the Wuzhou Guest House, their chance to check me out! On Sunday we went to the Dafen Oil Paining Village at Longgang, on the outskirts of Shenzhen, a wonderful proliferation of shops and art workshops. A proportion of the paintings are copies of "great" European paintings, and many more are copies
