Woke up and went to lunch with Ben at Dosa Corner, the South Indian food restaurant around the corner. Yum. Being completely unmotivated to do anything more productive than apply for jobs (although, to be fair, that's the most productive thing I can do for myself right now) I returned to the Banana and did that a little and watched the Wire a little... Woke up late, looked for jobs for awhile. Ate lunch downstairs at Flavours because I had heard they had bagels. Oh yes, they do. Unfortunately I was seated next to two total douchebags who were already wasted and talking loudly on the phone about inappropriate things. Woke up, wrote a cover letter for a job in NYC. Sent in an application. Went for pizza with Megan, Ben, Jake and Sach. Buy one get one free day at Pizza World!! Went to play snooker for the first time in my life. Unfortunately for Sach he was my partner. Fortunate for me though because he's British and grew up playing the game. Woke up around noon with a bit of a hangover. Sat around the Banana watching TV and playing Connect Four. Walked to Monument Toys to find that the board games there are RIDICULOUSLY expensive. Came back and took a nap then got dressed for dinner. Went to dinner with what's left of the ex- Cambodia Project people at Ocean. Had a couple of drinks at Revolution. Ben and a couple of new girls at the hostel came to join us, so we stayed longer. Came back and watched the Wire. Karaoke fell through. Bummer. Today is Colleen's last day. She's heading to Beijing tomorrow to hang out with her aunt and uncle for awhile, and to visit Tibet. JEALOUS! I've always wanted to go to Tibet. I will someday! We went to lunch at Java Cafe. They have bagels! BAGELS! Anyone who knows me in New York knows that I live for a plain bagel toasted with sun-dried tomato cream cheese. And they had it! YAY! Julia leaves tomorrow, so we hung out today. First we met for lunch at The Shop, this cute bakery/sandwich shop. Gennah and Casey coincidentally were there as well so they joined us for lunch. Today we had a meeting in the morning with the CEO and head of operations. We knew this meeting was coming so we were prepared for this. Pretty much the organization is falling apart because there is no funding. One of the reasons there is no funding is because the funding that there was has not been utilized appropriately. I'll leave it at that. We were all given the option to leave on good terms, stay on, or transfer to another organization with their help. I chose to leave, as did most people. Today I got up and headed to Feeling Home. It was POURING when I woke up, so I stalled for awhile because I didn't want to leave my room in the rain. It finally stopped and I met Megan. We discussed some issues going on in our project and hung out waiting for Sia. Nothing out of the ordinary today (except the whole, writing from Cambodia thing :-) ). Woke up and did a little bit of work on my computer. We met for lunch at the yummy Bangladeshi place down the street. After lunch, Robert and I went into food comas and fell asleep before our 3:00 meeting.
