So Cool!!! Hey "Mom"! I am enjoying seeing all that you are doing each day in Australia! I am jealous you got to see, pet, and hold kangaroos and koalas. That would be so fun to do!!! Well continue having a blast there and we will stay updated with you from home :) Love you!!!
Brunch, what the!!!! I thought expat wives in developing countries did things like went to schools for underprivileged kids, worked in soup kitchens and made arts and crafts to sell for charity. Well, thats what the wife tells me. Never guessed they brunched all day in fancy restaurants. hmmmm
you're lucky you had easy going Catherine and not Caroline to smash in that car. I'm glad she made it home OK. She definitely was not an unusual site in Egypt.
I miss the Khan! Call me vain, but I do love the flattery I get when visiting the Khan. I can't help that I feel like a movie star there and like the rare attention! My props to all that shopping...can't wait to see what you bring home! Come home soon!!!
Silly Egyptians Did ya'll really cause a car crash while posing in front of that secret shop? I don't doubt it...because ya'll are so hot...and those egyptian men are so silly, or maybe stupid is a better description!
Alabaster man I remember the alabaster man! I didn't realize he was so short, or has Catherine grown since you guys left the States? Enjoy the shopping...I'm jealous!

Desert Highway? What's nostalgic and bittersweet about the desert highway? "Down a dark desert highway, cool wind in my hair. Warm smell of colita's, rising up through the air..." I just caught up with all the days I have missed. Now I'm subscribed and won't miss another. Glad you are enjoying yourself.
Dont tell Paul Melissa....please...please...please...dont write about all the egyptain crap I have bought and smuggled into our house without Paul noticing!!!
Out with the old...in with the new! This Cairo trip is a major turning point in my life. After living there for 6 years as an American expatriate, I have returned after an abrupt departure 7 months ago. You will not see pyramids, temples, or museums...but smiling faces, interesting places, and curious things that were part of my everyday life in Cairo. I will miss everyone and everything dearly, but for myself and my children, we will close this book and start another wonderful chapter of our lives!... full info
