Enjoyed your blog
Hi Michelle and Kev I really enjoyed your well written blog and the photos. What an awful pity about the lack of tourists...on an area thats survival depends upon it so much. Your comments about the traffic system....ie no apparent rules! Albeit an implicit understanding...especially in Vietnam, remind me of a traffic trial in a town in the UK where there have switched off several sets of traffic lights at some crossroads......! This followed a period of improved traffic flow when the lights had broken down recently. Hence, they realised they were better off without them! What a great idea. However, "health and safety" rules and regulations will stop this from spreading....it is killing our society. Even the head of a major safety organisation has said it's gone too far! Anyway, enjoy your dangerous, but fantastic trip. Best wishes James

More memories
Hi Karen and Kev...really enjoyed your blog. It brought back wonderful memories of our Halong Bay trip. The lady in your photos selling chocolate, biscuits and treats from her boat is the same one that came to our boat! Small world! We're looking forward to your views on Siem Reap as we missed this out reluctantly. Best wishes James

Kev's looking forward to getting back to the cold - I'm not so eager. It's always good to get home but I'm really not looking forward to the cold weather. Brrrrr. M xx

Motorbikes
Of course! I'd forgotten you rode motorbikes. I have been on the back of one - many years ago one of my boyfriends had a motorbike - I did have a go riding it myself but my main memory is how heavy it was! Lots of love. M xx

Riding pillion
All very exciting. But if you thought riding pillion on a scooter is thrilling get yourself on the back of a big motorbike and it will take your breath away. Vietnam looks a fasinating place.
