Found this great tour cooking in Beijing in small vegetarian Buddhist restaurant near the forbidden city. If you look for beijing daytrips culinary on google you find the company. They are called Chinafaces. For providing a car with driver a guide translator, ingredients and creating like 5 dishes we had a great time. Buddhist cooking is vegetarian because no meat or fish can be consumed and killed as these are part of the karma cycle. So meats and fish tastes are replaced by mushrooms gluten, dou fu and other ingredients I had never used before. We made a fish shapes dish that resembled the fish taste and texture, dou fu skins filled with a vegetable mushroom filling and some stirr fried dishes.
