Thanks God
Hi Maddy, I am Claudia, Natalia´s mother and I want to thank you and Max for being her company in such a long, difficult and (I don´t know why I imagine it) dark and rainy trip. Thanks God you left, arrive the US for the succesful operation on time and now are back in Thailand. Natalia is also back, we miss them a lot but we are happy they are home again. Thank you for sharing...give a big hug and a kiss to Max. He is very brave. Claudia

Dear Maddy, Jim, Max, Levi, and Bram, Happy New Year to you all! I had mixed feelings while reading this exciting journal. Good for you Maddy to overcome all the rough time and adventures and hopefully that Max would appreciate more the love from his parents and particularly the extraodinary courage from Maddy. I was relived when I learned that Max had a successful surgery. Thank you Maddy to share with me this hard yet very beautiful experience. With love. Song Li and Shasha

Hello and Welcome Back to Thailand
Hi Maddy, Jim, Max-Max, Levi, and Bram, Happy Holidays to you all!! After your world-wind adventure, I am sure that it is good to be back "home" in Thailand. Despite all of the mishaps getting out, it appears as if all went well once you arrived here. I am so glad that Max-Max's surgery went as well as it did. Hopefully, the doctor's were able to get the entire tumor and that it won't return. I passed the message - regarding the twin's enrollment - on to Kay and she said that she would give you a call on your cell phone. Hopefully, Kay got to you before you left the U.S. Will close for now as I am probably running out of space. Hope you are all settling back into life in Thailand. I will talk to you soon. Love, Greg

We are safe and sound on US soil. But it's so HARD getting over the jet-lag. I LOVE the new glasses; they're so CHIC!!! They look really good on you. Love and kisses to the Max and the twins. I'll send you an email soon. - April

Hi Jim, Maddy, Max-Max, Levi, and Bram, As always, I loved reading your most recent blog. I can't believe that you'll be coming back, state-side, in less than 2 months. Where does the time go? It seems just like yesterday that Max-Max was saying good-bye to me in my classroom. All of the kids that were in Max's class are now prepping for kindergarten and Rolfie comes back later this summer as well. I'll look forward to any blogs that you may post before you come back; but, I am certainly going to miss the whole entire blog thing as it has been an integral part of the last three years. Hope that you are having a great week-end. Love, Greg-Greg

Thanks!
Thanks for sharing the post. We will keep Max in our thoughts and prayers. You have such beautiful boys! Maddie, may I suggest a really fun restaurant in Hanoi? We looooooved a place called Vine, which is very close to the Sheraton. We stayed there in Dec. '06 when we were there to adopt our son Noah. The 2-for-1 glasses of wine at Happy Hour helped with the transition from parenting 1 boy to parenting 2, if you know what I mean... :)

Hi Maddy, Jim, Max-Max, Levi and Bram, I loved reading your most recent blog. I can't believe just how much Levi and Bram have grown and I sure hope that you are feeling alot better now Max-Max after your ear surgery. I am, also, so glad that you are enjoying school so much, Max, and that you are learning to read and write. Where does the time go? I still think of you as the little 2 year old who was in my class; but, I have to remember that you are now a really big boy. Did the Easter bunny come to visit today? I am sure that he did and I am sure that he left lots of nice treats for everyone. Have a great rest of your Easter day and I will talk to you all soon. Love, Greg-Greg

What a family!
How wonderful to see the smiling faces of the Ellis boys (old and new)! We can't wait to see you all in December in D.C. Max is looking more and more like Jim! You have a future of girls calling all those handsome boys of yours! Meanwhile, it's so nice to hear you are able to get some time to yourselves. Hopefully, when you move back to the US, we can offer some babysitting. Love, Daisy

Congratulations!!
I just wanted to send congratulations to you all! I am so happy for you all and am so pleased that Max adores his new brothers and qualifies them as two of his best friends. Bram and Levi are both absolutely adorable and I can't believe just how much Bram is a spitting image of Max. I can't wait to meet the two newest additions to the Ellis family. Also, I can't forget to congratulate Max-Max for being named player of the week on his soccar team. The picture of Max-Max with his trophey is just priceless. I can totally understand why he would want to sleep with his trophy. School looks like it is going to be lots of fun this year, Max-Max! I just know that you are going to have a great time. As always, I can't wait for more entries to your fabulous blog and once again - congratulations to you all! Love, Greg (aka Greg-Greg)

Wow
I loved reading your most recent blog and this last trip was just as fabulous as all of the rest. I have to say, Max-Max - all of the kids at school are going to be sooo jealous that you got to pet a real live tiger. What a lucky boy you are to get so up close and personal with such wonderful wildlife. If you come to DC in April, please stop by school. The kids and I would love to see you. Miss Greg

Happy New Year
Dear Maddy, It is always a pleasure to see Max grow through pictures and it is interesting to learn your impression on KL. I was also very impressed by the co-existence of different cultures and religions in Malaysia when I visited KL in 2004 and Penang in 2001. Shasha and I just came back from Las Vegas and we also visited the Grand Canyon. The combination of natural beauty of the Grand Canyon and commercial/cultural characteristics of Las Vegas, a very unique place in the world is quite an experience for us. Shasha specially likes the classic show- Phantom of the Opera and the new one - Le reve, part of the Cirque du soleil. I would like to take this opportunity to wish you and your family a very happy new year. Song Li

WOW
Wow! What an incredible place that you visited although I can say that for all of the trips that you have made since you headed off to Bangkok. You all are really making the most of your time there which is the way like should be. Can't wait to find out where life takes you next.

bday party
Wow Max! What a great bday party you had. You make a great pirate and your treasure island cake is incredible. It, also, sounds as if mom came up with lots of super activities for you and your friends. I am, also, so happy to hear that you are enjoying your new school. I am, also, happy to hear that despite all of the goings on there in Bangkok that you, mom, and dad are all doing well and that you are safe and feel safe. Bye for now

coup
Maddie, I've certainly been thinking about you. I was in Shanghai during Tianamen Square and saw my share of troops there (although Seattle looked similarly guarded, with National Guard-manned check points, during the WTO meetings here). We're glad to hear you are safe and secure. Diane
