Bangkok, indeed the four Thai provinces, have been a very exciting place to be in for the last three days. The culture here is so rich that everyone partakes of it; so thinking of the whole matter again I shouldn't have been surprised at the intensity of the cultural fest that the Thai's call Songkran . I asked around and was told that the Songkran is one of the most important on the Thai Buddhists'' calendar as it's their traditional new year. The massive water fight afterwards also had a symbolic meaning (It made no sense to me why they should waste perfectly good water). My Bangkok adventure started in summer of 2013 and I am pretty sure it wouldn't be my last. Living in Sydney all my life, it is nice to have a change of environment in a place that is very different from what I used to know. Asian and Western countries are not similar--like black and white. The cultures as well as the traditions of people in Bangkok is very interesting, ancient and diverse. It is amazing how they can keep their traditions yet still thrive to be one of the world's best tourist attractions because of their contemporary lifestyle and state of the art hotels.
