great beaches great blog! glad u enjoyed ur stay in the Philippines. For your next visit, u might want to try Coron, Palawan. Another wonderful island with pristine beaches. Or Anawangin, Zambales. But here, u must be prepared to sleep in a tent. No cottages nearby. Like Caramoan, it is a secret island. Goodluck on your future adventures! :)
how to get to pulau rawa? hello, i am planning a trip to malaysia in a couple of weeks, mainly relaxing and swimming in pulau tioman. I came across your blog and pulau rawa sounds pretty amazing. However, i have difficulties finding the info on how to get there from Tioman. They only say you can take a boat from Mersing, but i'd rather take something from Tioman. Do you remember how you got there and how long it took????
would greatly appreciate your answer. many thanks
Awesome blog You guys should've swam with Whale sharks which is one of the attractions in Donsol also in the Bicol Region. The Northern part of the Philippines is also where one of the scenes from Tom Cruise's film "Born on the Fourth of July " was shot. You can also visit the Hundred Islands in Pangasinan, La Union which is also quite accessible and if you want an Ireland like terrain visit the Batanes islands which you will hardly see in Guidebooks like the Lonely Planet.

Secret location(beach) Hi,i am from Bicol, saw your blog and photos.I have been there actually.Never though Bicol have such pristine beach. You are right,it is best to keep it secret.I'll be glad to post some of my photos sometimes.Im glad you visited my hometwown.
i understand why you want to keep it as a secret ... my best guess is somewhere in the Bicol Region and we're going there next month! well ... actually, if you can tell me where this is ... that would be great.
nice photos!
I think you've got it And I'll be back to without a doubt. We only experienced a small part of the country for 11 days and it was amazing. Can't wait to see what else is hiding out there.
Great idea Keeping the location unknown...but I think I know where this is. Starts with a C, yeah?
Definitely be back, there are 7000 more islands to discover!
Love to see your pictures!!! What an experience you are having. good old Colorado had a blizzard this week after several days of 60 and 70 weather....Dan is here with us at night as he is working on the Power house in Pueblo. I hope you are not bringing home to Lynn a Monkey. They probably would not get along with the cats. Love, grammie Shirley.
Wow what a time!! missed a few days of reading your info but will try to keep up with as much as I can. hope you have a memory to remember all the details. Love, Gramie

In the Spring of 2009 I will be studying abroad at the National University of Singapore. I will be there from early January until mid May. I hope to stay in touch with my friends and family and keep them updated on my latest adventures. I've also found out how helpful reading blogs can be for making travel plans so I'll try to put in some details from the trip. If anyone needs more info, just sent me a message and I'll be glad to help. ... full info
